attorney here... my stress levels at work really messed up my gut... if I do not eat breakfast in the morning my IBS symptoms is the worst at the office when I need to actually work in the office that day. I think my line of work gradually poisoned and continues to poison my physical and mental health. But once you are in, you cannot easily get out of it. Sick of it though.

I had appendicitis and it was of the most painful things in my life. Imagine a running cramp but 20x worse. Every time I walked or sat up if felt like I was being stabbed.

I hate the time mid-january to mid-may. My hatest time of a year. I feel sick. Irritated. Feel dizziness. Confused due to hot weather. I feel lack of breath also😢. After the mid of may time changes. Temperature cools down rain starts. Best month for me is july to December. I never thought seasons effect so much. I used to think i am sick.

My periods stopped in my 30s. I told my doctor a medicine I was taking was stopping my periods. He said " you don't like having them anyway. Anyway I'm now 65. My periods never stated back. I have never had a hot flash nor have I experienced any other symptom except no periods.

Thank you for this. It would've been nice to get some names of things to ask for though instead of just descriptions. I'd love to be able to my Doctor to prescribe me things as a test but at the moment they all seem to have lost interest in helping. In my situation I started with a very sensitive gastrocolic reflex and have subsequently developed a fear of eating in restaurants. This has settled down since I eat lease greasy and fatty foods at home but I often find I get a lot of general discomfort and pains. I've tried mebeverine and peppermint oil which have no real effect in my situation, I've also tried psyllium husk which caused things to get worse... The doctors aren't volunteering anything else so I'm resorting to KZread! Even a gastroenterologist palmed me off to a dietician. The FODMAP diet does help to an extent but when I'm on the FODMAP diet for a while and then break the rules ones the result can be devastating and sometimes, you don't realise you're about to break the rules. Constantly feeling on edge and reluctant to go out. Hope you other suffers are having a better time than me :)

In this day and age it’s absolutely beyond ridiculous to me that the subject of menopause still has a shameful hidden stigma attached to it. As mature aged women WE NEED TO DO BETTER!! It’s not up to anyone else BUT us!! Stop being ashamed and speak up, you have a voice use it to educate as many ppl as you can!!

im 41 and my periods have become irregular. i got sweaty and hot flushes with sleep disruptions for a long time. i just found out today after ive has a blood test to check mynhormones that im perimenopausal. something i had never ever heard until today. this can last tot years apparently. my mood have been so low and ive had anger and tiredness...i dont remember what it feels like to sleep a good nights rest and waking up feeling refreshed.. we also need to check my bone density as being perimenopausal at this age means we are more at risk of osteoroporosis. i was also told about Hormone Replacement Therapy but this may increase the risk of breast cancer..this all came as a shock to me

I've had irregular bowel movements for a while now surely there's something more that can be done than just thinking right? If I'm at work with a runny bottom and farting all the time then I can't do my job.
