I think you know what you did wrong, but I'll say it anyway. When you exiited the boat, you tipped it & flooded it. When you re-entered, you tipped the boat again & flooded it even more. You then failed to reseal the spray skirt so that when you tried to roll upright very badly you then completely flpoded the whole boat. So then the boat had tones of water rolling around inside & zero stability. What your supposed to do is leave the boat completely inverted when you exit. Before you enter, go the the bow powerfully & fast, while kicking hard. You have to lift it usig your enertia because you have very littly bouyancy to lift against. This needs to be done so that the boat is as empty as possibe before you re-enter. When you re-enter, the boat must remain level untill you have completey reattached & seald the spray skirt. It is only after completing all these steps that you can attempt ro roll up again. It is best to call a mate over before re-entering, so that when your roll fails again, they can offer their bow to support your next attempt. If you flood your boat like this, it becomes extremely difficult for anyone to execute a deep water rescue successfully. It can be done, but it's exhausting work & may well prove beyond the teams capability, especially if conditions are bad. So, donlt flood your boat.

Just learnd re-entry, but I do not lift the kayak sideways at all. I lay beside the cockpit, get the both feet halfway in the cockpit, "dive" in so I sit upside-down and connect my knees good, and then do the role. Important to take your time to connect the knees really good, even if this means to spend som seconds below water. It is very little water coming in the cockpit if I make it at first attemp. I think you filled your kayak by keeping it sideways to low in the water.

Don’t see bulkheads. Any float bags? I’m guessing that’s why your kayak is filled with water. There is no way to right a swamped kayak. Have to drain out the water first. Then maybe a cowboy scramble. Definitely not a re-entry and roll.

The best way to do a re-entry and roll (IMO) start with the kayak upside down. Head in the cockpit facing the stern, hands on the coaming. Summersault into the seated position, and do your sweep. You will find it a more relaxing, less tiring and almost no water in the kayak upon completion.

Not trying to be negative here but why would you drain water out of your kayak to enable you to do a reentry and roll in this kind of boat without aerated bulkhead-protected compartments? There’s going to be minimal at best to no relevant difference of water quantity once you put it on the side again to get in and then scoop the whole volume up with your cockpit while rolling up.

My kayak doesn't have a pedal, but is it so much easier on fishing? I am enjoying this sunset---1;09. Wow..you stayed after the sunset and enjoy the view of the skyline? This is a replica of Oru. The key difference is there is nothing to prop up the back deck, whereas Oru seat props up the back deck and gives it a rigidity.
