I’m not sure if I ever gave thanks on your 8 part series, if not I gota give a big thanks to you. Back in 2018 I was trying to figure out if the motors could be taken apart from the esc and I came across your videos. It was my first attempt at doing this procedure and my first time ever soldering. I practiced soldering first. I ended up purchasing T-Motors. Again these videos are much appreciated and has helped me out a great deal thanks 👍🏼

I have just flown my maiden cinematic flight this past Sunday, I got to say the 3dr is a beast Managed to find her with 3 flights on her, her price was 140 bucks back pack 3 batteries transmitter GoPro . Did the mod,but however I'm not sure if my new battery has an issue or its a bms issue...the battery literally lasts for 2 mins then auto lands ...did the exact same thing with my original battery

Sound like the BMS is holding last memory on the last battery you used. Are all the LED lights showing a full battery charge?

@@rctechproflying1903 thanks for your reply!,yes all the lights light up showing as fully charged but the drone flies for literally less than 3 mins, the battery I got is brand new as well,as soon as it hits 29%(after 2 mins of flight ) it auto lands ,yet my battery still has like 50 %+ of life left

...nice that you covered this ...most reviewers think that the rear obstacle avoidance sensors don’t work or only “alert” the pilot...when the actually do work as long as novice mode is activated.

Hey RCTech, I know this video is older and you may not rememeber but, I was curious how the batt replacement went and how long of fly time you got with the rig? I have 2 bad batteries that I was thinking about doing a 10440 mod to. Was curious seeing as though that 4k mAh batt you had was most likely lighter thus equaling better/worse flight characteristics or longer flight time. :) Thanks in advance!!

South West Florida Aerial Good Morning, yes, there is. You could order them from China, and they are sold by individual cells. The only draw back is the cost. Shipping cost can get expensive. I would of loved to reseal the original batteries in there cases. When I find the link I will send it to you.

@@WmrLicona Correct, make sure that you pay attention to the notches on the JST plug when you connect them together that the wires are in the same sequence. Don't always think that the colors are matched to the same colors wire for wire.

If you have created the Mod battery system from the Solo Battery you will get the alert that the battery is lower, because the BMS is remembering the last call that the battery was low. You need to charge the lipo battery on a separate charger, then plug it back on the BMS. What occur is that the BMS clears the memory and starts at 100% when you plug your lipo back into the BMS. I was planing on flying the Solo this week God willing, Then I could record a simple video. God Bless friend!

Yes absolutely, What I've discovered is the voltage from the Solo chargers are not consistence with each other. Some will read 16.80v and some less then 16.5 V. When I used the Solo chargers it seem as though it stops charging the battery before its fulling charged. Since I have used the Imax charge i get a complete charge from my batteries.

I parameters are different on each 3DR gimbles. If you set them to what I have it may not work correctly. This video is to assist on a bench mark to make slow adjustments and test them and review your results. Cheers!

The front sensors are optical the rear sensors are ultrasonic, this is why... as for why the rear sensors don't work apart from Novice mode there must be a reason however to have the option would be good.... Cheers

10/15/19 1800 wanted to let you all know that I have made the adjustments to the EXPO in the Autel Evo app from factory settings from 0.50 to 0.20 and the results were very good. I will be posting the video on the settings and the results.

Good job Rolando, I have had my EVO for almost a year now and I really enjoy it but I still fly the Solo as well. I was able to get two of the battery modes from Dan (Drone Worship) and I use the Tattu 5200mAH 35C battery that works great. God bless you and keep the videos coming.

Engineer I follow all your 3 video series , and work 100% in my Solo with a 14.8V 5200mah, I will try soon with a 14.8v 10000mah battery, I know that need a firmware mod for it 🙄😅. I use glue buster to open the Solo battery 😁

Only problem with the 10000 mah lipo is the weight, and the BMS will not recognized anything greater then 5200 MAH, but if you monitor the voltage on the Telemetry on your display you could fly the Solo and ignore the low battery warning.

Hey there, so you say to make the adjustments but you don't say what to adjust it to? My gimble faces Downwards and while flying it's all over the place. Do I make adjustments in planner and watch gimble until it's level or what?

Make the adjustment on the ground in Mission Planner, and make sure to remove the propellers. When in mission planner make the adjustments needed on the function of the gimble that the problem is needed to make the fix. Example: If the problem is the pitch select the pitch and make the adjustments by lowering the values or increasing the values. If the problems is the Roll select make adjustments and lower or increase the values. Always write down the values that Solo has as default so that you could return it to those values.

with linear mode you get digital zoom(so you're loosing a bit of quality), with exchanged lens you get optical zoom. You can use the whole sensor for the same field of view as linear and that means you'll get better quality image.

Good job Rolando, I have had my EVO for almost a year now and I really enjoy it but I still fly the Solo as well. I was able to get two of the battery modes from Dan (Drone Worship) and I use the Tattu 5200mAH 35C battery that works great. God bless you and keep the videos coming.

Engineer I follow all your 3 video series , and work 100% in my Solo with a 14.8V 5200mah, I will try soon with a 14.8v 10000mah battery, I know that need a firmware mod for it 🙄😅. I use glue buster to open the Solo battery 😁
Only problem with the 10000 mah lipo is the weight, and the BMS will not recognized anything greater then 5200 MAH, but if you monitor the voltage on the Telemetry on your display you could fly the Solo and ignore the low battery warning.
Hey there, so you say to make the adjustments but you don't say what to adjust it to? My gimble faces Downwards and while flying it's all over the place. Do I make adjustments in planner and watch gimble until it's level or what?
Make the adjustment on the ground in Mission Planner, and make sure to remove the propellers. When in mission planner make the adjustments needed on the function of the gimble that the problem is needed to make the fix. Example: If the problem is the pitch select the pitch and make the adjustments by lowering the values or increasing the values. If the problems is the Roll select make adjustments and lower or increase the values. Always write down the values that Solo has as default so that you could return it to those values.

Uhm, I gotta ask the obvious question. Other than the zoom is it any different than linear view?
with linear mode you get digital zoom(so you're loosing a bit of quality), with exchanged lens you get optical zoom. You can use the whole sensor for the same field of view as linear and that means you'll get better quality image.
