    My mt07 was stolen a few months ago so been debating if i should get a new mt07 or a 24 mt09 but hearing mix reviews about the mt09 being less enjoyable than mt07 what you think?

  • @BenTV73
    @BenTV7310 күн бұрын

    Hi thanks for your comment I'm sorry to hear your woes. I can't really give advice on what you should get as I don't know you personally but what I can say is that the 09 is basically an MT-07 with an extra cylinder, far superior suspension/chassis & an electronics suite. Personally I don't like the 4th gen model, which is why I got the 3rd gen (that & saving £1300 off list), what I would suggest is booking a test ride that'll show you if you like it or not. I can't see how the 09 can be less enjoyable? Whilst the MT-07 is a fantastic bike in my opinion it doesn't hold a candle to the 09 the 09 is more stable more comfortable and well just more having said all that it is also more expensive to run and doesn't look or sound as good as the 07. I wish you luck with your new purchase whatever you decide both are amazing bikes but the 09 is more premium.

    If you got the spare coin. Grab a hyperpro RSC steering dampner. I recommend that particular brand as its reasonably affordable at $800 aud. For me it transformed the handling coming out of a corner or at least my confidence on exit. A black ceramic paint on exhaust cleans it up nicely aswell

    Just came across your video and noticed that you're using metal for some of the sliders. Never ever use metal as metal will be harder than the ground it is hittig and it can cause the slider to grip the ground and flip the bike causing even more damage. You always want your sliders to be abrassive resistant, shock absorbent and softer than the thing they are going to impact with otherwise it completly defeats the purpose.

  • @BenTV73
    @BenTV73 Жыл бұрын

    Hi I was going to do a separate video about it but I don't think it's that well made for one. I've had to buy yet another baffle (at £60) because the last one broke up & I've also picked up a dent in one of the downpipes which wasn't there when I bought it. Also the bolt for the baffle is in the wrong place, I understand why they've done it it's to stop people removing the baffle but when people are paying over a thousand pounds for an exhaust it's very arrogant of Akrapovic to think they can dictate what people can & can't do with their exhaust. XSR700 eh? Lovely bike. Good luck with it & thanks for your comment.
