    Holy cow! Facing and drilling at the same time?!? I learn something every day! My Clausing 5914 has a turret and now I'll have to try that.

    this is the perfect tool for those high-production jobs. I would never stick a chuck key in the chuck while the lathe is still in gear esp. those clutch operated machines.

    Странное противопоставление чпу. На этот станок можно поставить привода и контролер и тогда его функционал станет еще выше и все достоинства сохранятся. Ну и автосмену инструмента на обрабатывающих центрах тоже никто не отменял.

    Great explanation! I understand that the geometric die is easier and faster, but can you also single point thread on this machine, like you would on a regular manual lathe?

  • @westislespecialprojects
    @westislespecialprojectsАй бұрын

    No it can’t, it has a variety of feed rates but none that will match the pitch of a thread.

    Great video that machine might be old but it made short work of that job and that lathe didn’t mess about either I used to run a ward 7 pre selector that could shift metal as well 👍👍👍👍

    En mi experiencia, y en mi opinión, apenas se apretó la parte. Acabo de ver un accidente donde se salió la parte del Chuck y le pegó en la cara a la persona. Casi lo mata, pero pues cada quien trabaja como quiera on your own risk

    Это токарно-револьверный. Револьверный станок не имеет резцедержателя, инструмент крепится в револверном барабане, имеющем горизонтальную ось вращения, как в современных станках с чпу.

    Здесь у револьверной головки вертикальная ось вращения. А так да, станки с чпу и создавались на базе таких универсальных токарников
