LINDO CHE SALU2 DESDE MENDOZA ARGENTINA
My wife and I drove a brand new Blue 2CV through Europe in the eighties for 5 months, by the end of our trip I’d fallen in love with it 😂, every day was an adventure, I hope someone is still looking after it ?
The most versatile car I ever had. Maybe one day I’ll have another 🤞🏻
Hey, I have few questions about 2CV: - how long engine lasts (kilometres wise)? - how long transmission lasts? - how many kilometers tires last? In one of your videos you mentioned 2cv6 can do 70 miles per hour. Does big bore kit (650 cc) makes a bit difference? What about 720 cc? Thank you.
Hi all, A few years ago I have inserted two flap windows in the rear doors! It fits perfectly! Did you know that's possible? So much more comfortable on the rear seat.... 😊
I subscribed to the newsletter, but I have not seen any link to the 'e-book Buyers guide'!
Aw, doggy was sad to see it go! It's lovely to see how much attention the car got, out on the road and at the services, etc!
Great car would be one of my colour choices.
I wish my 2CV Dolly indicator warning beeper was as loud as that, not just the faint clicking of the recently failed relay switch. Then I would not keep forgetting to turn them off. Probably an addition? Never mind, I'll settle for the dashboard indicator light I just received from you - when I figure out how to wire it in to the new flasher relay, also quickly supplied from you, thanks. Btw, @10.00, next time, it might be better for Jacob to fasten his seatbelt BEFORE setting off (taking both hands off the wheel to do so) to avoid possible unwanted attention from Plod. 🤨. Only leg-pulling 😊. I would edit that out, just in case. Thanks for the video.

Thank you.
Having run an Ami 8, Dyane and a Lomax for many years, Darren is absolutely right......they love to be worked hard! Andre Citroen was a brilliant engineer, way ahead of his time.

Thank you! There are a bunch of 2CV shifting videos on YT but this is the only one that clearly explains neutral! I’m supposed to help a friend with his CVs this weekend but I’ve never driven one and I wanted to study beforehand.
I’m glad you found it useful.
Another very useful video. I am enjoying these guides!
And with older 'boxes when you're changing down, you have to go from 4th to 3rd to get to 2nd or 1st; no shortcuts from 4th. And NEVER drive too fast in reverse, because it can wreck your gearbox!
Great explanation and show of how these work .
Another imformative 2cv video, thank you. Once learnt it was the simplest easiest & quickest gear change especially compared to floor mounted gear sticks. The 2cv had so many innovative features.
Well worth watching. Thank you.
Such a great tip with bending the vent flap, mine didn't seal properly at all, just done it and now it does! Brilliant
Das frage ich mich jetzt aber auch !? 😎
Thank you so much for this!👍👍
For a bit of fun, these two late-septuagenarians are collecting a beautiful white/green 2CV Dolly this week, having last owned an identical one (and a canary yellow Dyane before that) some 30 years ago. Memory being what it is (fading!), this is a very timely video to have just found, so thank you. The boot cover and car cover are of interest, so we will be looking into those, along with other desirable items, like a bulb kit. Can't wait. 🙂. Cheers. Malcolm (Pendleside)
Great video, really informative, keep it up.
I've shared this with all my friends. Let's spread the love!
Great to see.
Great video! I look forward to the next one. Good tip about taking the key out so you don't spend all day spinning the handle, trying to get in..... Also, very good idea to check the window is secure when it's opened - I nearly lost a finger when mine was not secured and came down with a force! OW!
Nice idea and always a pleasure to view information and details of the wonderful 2CV, look forward to the rest of the series.
Same as the one i had back in 1992! Fond memories of a brilliant car. Still going strong according to DVLA!
Oh my days my colour scheme of choice , not jealous at all 🤣 . Enjoy xx
Delightful, brings back happy memories.
Lucky lady! She has a very nice example, there!

Looks cool. Except for the completely out of time period rims.
🤪 *Promo SM*
Excellent video - shows all the steps in the right order. I just fitted my new hood following carefully. Merci messieurs!
Are these original old engines or modern reproductions? Either way, who would have thought there would be such a demand because you don't see the old cars around. Maybe in Europe they're more common. Might be a fun project for a custom, sm., 1-person car.
Costs far too much though.
Beautiful job.
The cinematography is very amateurish, the content is shallow. I wonder what was the purpose of this video
Had 2 Dyane’s a long time ago. Everything was the rule of 70. 70 mph,70mpg, 70 thou from tyres. A amazingly effective vehicle.
I'm surprised. Downsizing was common already 50 years ago. And its again in modern motorisation
