  This is beautiful. The music iof Nova s soul warming, the dance is elegant and the caller, Seth, calling builds confidence to the dancers with each time through the dance. What I can't understand is that this video was put up 5 years ago and no one took the time to say something about how fine it is. Thank you for sharing something so sweet.

  Yes the music of Nova and flow of this contra dance to Seth's calling is really elegant and soothing. I am glad you liked it. Yes although there have been well over a thousand views in the last 5 years, you are the first to comment about how much you liked it. Dont know if Contra dancers are shy or dont appreciate it. I do appreciate Derry for filming it for me and your comment. If your interested you can find many more contra and other dances on my youtube site - dancencamp. The ones in recent years are generally higher resolution, but you may have to hit the gear at the bottom of the screen to set the quality to a higher resolution (youtube tends to lower the resolution). Thank you

  Thanks for writing back. I've been dancing and calling for over 45 years and appreciate more than ever when the quality of music and calling gives a moment of memorable dancing. If someone can capture that moment on a video to watch that is really nice.

  Hand held with an effort to be really steady. (Which is hard to do since I really felt like moving to the beautiful music). It also films better under low light conditions than my Panasonic G6 4/3 camera.

  Jean You are welcome. It is a pretty good contra dance video (except for a miss call near the end - where I added screen shots), and one of the few I had from Foggy Moon 2018 with Craig dancing. Since he as such a pillar for the dance community, I wanted to make it available for his memorial service, but finished it late last night and had not had a chance to approve it with the Memorial organizers. May it help you and the contra dance community cherish him and each other in our memories.
