    Why would they put the bias test points on the outside of the amp but put the bias adjustment on the inside of the chassis? Completely defeats the purpose.

    idk, but I do know that it sounds good if it is used the right way, for a DJ is indispensable in live situations, it can make your mix sound clean and crispy, it’s night and day and can make you sound like a quality boost coming on after a dj who does mot use it lol ;) nice little cheap trick to wow your audience hehehehe

    For anyone reading this, 1) Which audio interface do you use? 2) How do you set your input gain knob on interface? At zero or just before it clips? 3) And pre-eq in the DAW before the signal hits the amp sim? Thanks!

    I’m late to the party but awesome video! I’m a Sabbath fanatic and new player and only have interest in playing an SG through a Laney LA amp, Laney cab w/H series speakers replacing the M green backs and a full range germanium boost. The difference between 9&10 on guitar volume when amp and pedal is cranked then crank guitar from 9 to 10 you’re on planet Sabbath. I just ordered one of these but he’s making them with silicone transistors now so hopefully it’s as good as germ. There’s just some type of mojo with a germanium.

    I think 💬🤔 the word for those are called saddle blocks; they lock the string against the saddle so it can be strung without running it through the tremelo block...😊

    I do not like when they put awrything in to 1 box. Basicly now Helix is electric guitar product with fwe by the way bass addons. Not like that! I really like when in old times there were separate Pod for bass and for electric guitar. In thosw way they make the best product for each of category. I want bass product spesialy made for bass. I do not want guitar staff in to my unit i never use!!!

    I have the 8240 (stereo chorus 2x12 combo) and the 8100. I almost think I like the 8240 better, but being a combo, it doesn’t have much low end. I’ll setup the 8100 to a 412 cab with a scooped sound then run that into the 8240 and use it for some mid tones and it’s killer. I also have the Audiority 8100 wannabe and it’s definitely nothing like the real deal.

    @PlagueScytheStudios , i reallly appreciate this demo/review and especially that you took the time to analyze the waveforms. when running this pedal with a mono input and stereo output, did you happen to notice whether one side remained dry and the other was the wet signal? or were both outputs effected in some way?

  • @PlagueScytheStudios
    @PlagueScytheStudios14 күн бұрын

    In true stereo, it appears one side is an untouched dry signal while the other is 100% wet. I couldn't detect any changes to the dry signal audibly or by viewing the waveform.

    Hello. I've done exactly the modification on the parallel fx loop, as you mentioned. But, for some reason the problem it is not completely solved. There is still a very little volume bleed that ruin the result. I even contacted Mesa Boogie. They talk me about tubes characteristics / schematic that can lead to this issue. Anyone else faced the same problem? Do you know a way to solve it? It would be great to be able putting a graphic eq between the pre and power section. Hope someone can help me with a solution/alternative 😅

    The BBE are really cheap versions and not the same company of the Sonic Maximizer that was the original used by bands like Fleetwood mac in Rumors album so it really isn't a pro maximizer thats the reason you can buy them used for 60 and they don't even think BBE make them anymore but Behringer makes a copy

    I use GTR Moden with Rosen Digital and a Mashall 1960 Vintage IR and it sounds very good. I have used several Amps sims and I prefer simple. This does the job and I load it in Reaper as a track template and forget that its GTR and surprised how hard it crunches.

    this is a little off topic , but ive been able to 100 percent accurately recreate the fortin meshuggah amp in the axe fx xl+ by layering the fryette deliverance with the Splawn od2-3 and a eq pedal dialed in like the 33 from your previous videos.. the vht supplies the midrange and high end as well as a crap ton of articulation , and the splawn is dialed in to add the low end thump and a little bit of texture. i saw videos of mike making the amps while using a deliverance 4x12 and so i got the impulses for that as well , and it is 100 percent accurate to the tone in mikes video of the meshuggah amp. i thought someone like you could appreciate this tid bit

  • @PlagueScytheStudios
    @PlagueScytheStudiosАй бұрын

    The Fortin Meshuggah circuit is nearly identical to a Cameron Atomica. Just use thr Atomica High model (or even a Friedman BE) and you're 95% there.

  • @teamskdm1
    @teamskdm1Ай бұрын

    @@PlagueScytheStudios tried every Marshall styled circuit in the axe and this method is far more accurate than any stand alone amp in the axe. The friedmans didn’t work at all and didn’t have the ultra stiff low end like the fryette has and the splawn then adds that Marshall flare that the fryette is missing on its own. Granted I don’t own a meshuggah amp but I own the nameless plugin as a frame of reference to A/B back and forth and now my fractal sounds closer to the real thing than even the plugin

    This utube posted 5 years ago but I'd like to add some info. If you tap and hold. (The same Button to choose models 17-32) you also get the following Tap and hold then adjust reverb for cut off. For big room or smaller room. Tap and hold then adjust Chan volume will adjust presence. You mentioned it did not have presence feature. Tap and hold then adjust bass for delay repeats. Also tap and hold then adjust midrange for delay volume There's more for compression but can't remember them.
