    I got a used E85 Bobcat, excellent machine. The ones this size make shor work os lots of things, lots of fun to run.

    Nice machines and work. That looked like some nice timber, hopefully you were able to get the logs to the mill. Also pretty sure you know but much easier to get the stumps out while pushing em over, my 8 ton and most in this class have most pushing power when tracking forward.

    This was really my first experience with an excavator. Not very confident with winds that day and right near house. Actually back on the same job now for stage 2 of this project nearly a year later and it's a whole different ball game now.

    I’m debating fixed boom vs swing boom, for a 7 to 9 ton machine. What’s your opinion? How often do you use the swing in forestry work?

    I have a deere 85g, every time i dig up close to myself i wish i got the 75g

    I never use it for any type of forestry. To tell you the truth I only used it one time this entire year putting a French drain right up against a house.

    I thought the 85 in the 75 were pretty much the same just the weight.
