FHAH, you are so inspirational. Your drills and instructions have changed my life for the better. By following your 'skills' videos I have improved from a mere amateur hockey player to a world class, professional hockey player playing for my country of Eswatini. My goal is to compete in the Men's FIH Pro League and I believe that by continuing to support and follow this channel, my dream will become reality.

Hello Nathan, I am a member of the South Sudanese field hockey team. You may remember me from the 2017 Hockey Africa Cup of Nations held in Ismailia. We played against each other in the group stage and we won 4-1. I remember that you played quite well, with spirit as well as with brains despite not being the most skilful. I also enjoy watching the videos on this channel as I get to watch the boy with the vertical Marge like afro perform tricks with his hockey stick, though I could probably teach him more than he could teach me.
@nathanxu11954 жыл бұрын
@@leoyang7710 Ah yes, Leo! Glad to hear from you again. You may be glad to hear that by binge-watching all the videos on this channel, my hockey technique and skills have vastly improved. I look forward to representing Eswatini again and maybe we shall meet again at the 2021 Hockey Africa Cup of Nations, where my team and I will be aiming for the gold medal.

Wait!! Are you the Nathan Xu who won 8-1 against Angola in the Hockey Africa Cup of Nations?
@nathanxu11954 жыл бұрын
@@joshuacasbolt83 Yes, of course. Though they were quite good, they hadn't watched Field Hockey at Home's videos and so I had the technical edge upon them. My superior ball control and 3D dribbling was enough to bypass most of their defence and set me up for easy goals. If you are new to this channel I would strongly recommend the 'Ball Control' video which shows off interesting moves in both real time and slow motion.

Great drills...I coach mini hockey (5-10yrs) keeping them busy during the Covid-19 lockdown is a challenge in itself but all these drills are great.

bronwyn davids I play under 14s, and sometimes our team has to help coach the 5-10yrs. I.salute.you. They have the attention span of goldfish. Im from a small town, which means we have a gravel court for training, and the kids spend most of the time drawing in the gravel! Not to mention, they can’t seem to keep their mouth guards in for more than 2min. They always take them out! Idk how you do it. 😂
