    @@tomasbouda I've bought the mahogany version of this guitar, it's currently at the luthiers having a neck adjustment to lower the action. I like it's sound but, don't know if an impulse response would reduce the attack of the piezo, as it sounds maybe a little 'quacky' due to the sensitivity of the pick up. Will try one of the pedals I mentioned to experiment a little. There's not much info online about how this guitar reacts to such a pedal.. Thanks anyway.

    Hello Tomáši, thank you for this great video! Having played mostly Fenders and Gibsons on my infinite search for the ultimate jazz fusion guitar, I've recently drawn my attention to more modern sort of guitars, and this RG absolutely stunned me with its natural, deep and full sound - it sounds pretty much like what I'm looking for. Which exact RG Prestige J. Craft model is it if I may ask? I'm especially curious about some specs like wood type of body and neck, and pickups (having in mind RGs are generally used rather by hard rock and metal players, but I can't imagine this is just another heavy metal chainsaw... :) ). Any further info would be welcome, thank you. Wonderful playing too!

    Ahoj, zda se, ze muzeme cesky? 🙂 Dekuju za opravdu milou zpravu. Ano, hodne kytar, ale i kyt. efektu a zesilovacu me uz prijemne prekvapilo, kdyz byly pouzity jinym zpusobem - na jiny zanr, nez na jaky byly predurceny. Prave treba tyhle rekneme metalovy superstraty jsou opravdu senzacni na jazz, ale jsou strasne variabilni i na jiny zanry. Maj brilantni signal, presny tremolo a opravdu prijemnej krk a hmatnik, cela je takova ergonomicka. 🙂 Sundal jsem jen zamky na nultem prazci, kytara drzi ladeni skvele i bez nich. Jedna se konkretne o tenhle model: ibanez.fandom.com/wiki/RG3620Z Bohuzel uz se nevyrabi a aktualni produkce Ibanez mi nepripada takhle precizne dotazena. Ale rozhodne doporucuju nejakej Prestige model vyzkouset, umi prekvapit. Diky a at to hraje.

    Díky moc za info! Takže mahagon s javorovou svrchní deskou, paráda. Já si říkal, že tohle asi nebude lípa, kterou mám povšechně se superstraty spojenou nejvíc (a většinou mě to zvukově moc neoslovilo, zatímco tohle mě naopak značně nadchlo :) ). S Ibanezkami na jazz mám výbornou zkušenost skrze pololubovky, ale v jejich ostatních modelech se skoro vůbec nevyznám, tak se v tom zrovna zkouším trochu zorientovat. Snad se mi brzy poštěstí si nějakou takovou kytaru vyzkoušet, ta povšechně chválená ergonomie a hratelnost mě na tom taky hodně láká... Zdravím a ať to dále pěkně hraje! @@tomasbouda

    Moc díky za tip. Určitě se na to podívám, třebaže s těžší kytarou obecně nemám problém. Hlavně bych od toho chtěl, aby to i s otevřenou tónovou clonou zvládlo pěkné plné jazzové čisté zvuky (dejme tomu přibližně a la Les Paul), jako to umí tohle RGčko. Čekal jsem, že v rámci nynějšího zájmu o ty "modernější" kytary s tremolem zatoužím po nějakém Suhru, ale třeba Modern Satin (soudě podle ukázek s jazzovou hrou) v tomhle ohledu už není to, co hledám... Zato tohle je paráda, i to zapojení snímačů se mi moc líbí. Půjdu podle specifikace a zkusím favorizovat další modely, každopádně je to hodně inspirativní kytara :) @@tomasbouda

    Both guitars are absolutely amazing in terms of playability. Fender is probably more natural for me and my ergonomics. But the ultra-thin Ibanez neck allows a little bit differentl (let's say faster) playing. In any case I like both guitars in terms of playability. It does have an amplifier and a speaker built in. It has both midi output and sound out ut so i run it into my Boss Me-80 multiple effect pedal. It doesn't sound anything like in this video. • @tomasbouda
    @tomasbouda Жыл бұрын

    Thank you, Jovan. The mahogany looked really sensational to look at but I have to say that I decided to go with the spruce version in the end. It had a much softer and more refined sound for me. But it's all just subjective preference and doesn't mean spruce is better than maho. It is just different. As for the comparison with Godin. The Godin in particular is a bit more refined on record and has a fuller or more colorful sound, but certainly the sound difference is not as big as the price of these guitars. I normally play gigs with Angel Lopez and the sound is perfectly adequate, but I'm only an occasional acoustic player. The Yamaha SLG with effects on board is also interesting for me, I can really set the sound to my liking on that one and it fits my hand better than the godin. But the answer is yes. Even from a guitar this cheap you can get a really great sound.

    Both are great. I have both and a Les Paul. For cleans and ambient stuff I prefer the strat because of that spanky / glassy Fender sound it’s known for. As a result, I do not like the Cleans from practically any other guitar. My Fender is an HSS as well, and I find it kicks hard enough for most things when using distortion. My Les Paul is a Classic+ with push pull to split the HB, but I prefer Fender. They’re all versatile. It’s just personal preference.

I agree, it just struck me now in a direct comparison of clean tone how the Ibanez is actually very variable, and honestly I now find the Fender sounding awfully thin in comparison. Especially for example the 2nd pickup position, which I use a lot, I like better on the Ibanez. Of course they are both top instruments and they have something going for them, I just realized for myself after this comparison how amazing the Ibanez actually is and came back to it as my main guitar again after years.
