My Great, Great, Great Grandfather is buried in The Old City Cemetery in Greenville, Illinois alongside the National Trail. When it was the Santa Fe Trail and was originally a Native American Trail that Stage Coaches followed in the early 1800's.

You neglected to add there were 5 or 6 food trucks burned to the ground after the food was stolen. People were running thru the crowd with cases of food. They were a bit pricey.

Love National Road. I work by it, live by eat, and have done about everything on it. Including that suspension bridge in Wheeling WV. I worked on the east side of it in a theatre since 1976 and I am still employed there right now in April of 2024. I love riging my motorcycle or just cruising on old 40. So many memories and I'm almost in hillbilly country but close to passage so I could get in and out pretty easy. I remember when I-70 came thru here. Sort of back wards from the way we sent national road to them.

I started listening to this, and suddenly, I was 7 years old and sitting at the kitchen table listening to my dad's Montgomery Wards Airline transistor radio. I believe it was during one of the Scoreboard shows that year that we first heard from Jack Buck that Ray Sadecki had been traded to the Giants for Orlando Cepeda. What a great idea that turned out to be !!!!!

That GOD came to earth as a man in JESUS, must be the greatest blatant lie disseminated by Christianity, next to their portrayal of GOD as an INDIVIDUAL UP somewhere, in effect rendering the gullible "Believers" GODLESS, for GOD IS and IS IN ALL HIS CREATION. Any wonder why humanity is so lost and Satan inhabited, most mentally disturbed.

Superb Video explaining the changes to road transport in the US. Here in the there remain many old roads some now part if current A Roads some now nearly forgotten byways some even older trackway now exist as byways and footpaths or Bridleways for foot or horse traffic only.. There was a great series on on routes in the on TV including driving routes illegal routes as by Pirates and other crooksbandvsome dating back to Pre Roman Britain which can still be walked. And on these old routes is a wealth history Earthworks Forts lost mines etc. Checking old maps against Google Maps And rail maps on line often shows what can't be easily seen !.
