    I have an acer nitro 5 an515-54-728c my screen was damaged and it showed a bunch of red pixels in that area, i brought it to warranty provider company they installed an off center sh*ty screen that goes dark when i open a dark or black windows on my desktop and after closing, it takes couple seconds to go back to normal it's so annoying i think they installed a cheaper downgraded model not the exact one it also has some dead pixels, they probably threw the original screen away by now, is there a way for me to find the exact screen model number without having the original screen?

    Hello there. I'm sorry to hear authorised Acer dealers are buying low grade screens from eBay! The dead pixels are unacceptable for a warranty repair. Your laptop was originally fitted with BOE NV156FHM-N4K (BOE082A). You can see detailed specs for this display here www.panelook.com/NV156FHM-N4K_BOE_15.6_LCM_overview_37089.html All the best. Nick

    Thank you for the reply, i find out through Device Manager and monitor hardware id that the current installed screen model is NV156FHM-NX3 Code: BOE090F, and just now i was looking for the original model number on google that i came across this: community.acer.com/en/discussion/658625/acer-nitro-5-an515-54-728c-screen-replacement-models Apparently some who also had a an515-54-728c model laptop had similar problem but he said: Acer NITRO 5 AN515-54-728C Screen Replacement Models Hello, My currrent Acer NITRO 5 AN515-54-728C screen is broken and I need to replace it. Subsequently, I noticed that there are a number of compatible models that I would like to confirm. My current screen part number is LM156LF2F01 however it is proving difficult to find this exact model. I have been told that NV156FHM-NX3 V8.0 and NV156FHM-NX1 are both compatible with Acer NITRO 5 AN515-54-728C but I am not sure and would therefore appreciate any information on how to confirm if this is true. Thanks. He said LM156LF2F01, now i got more confused. But anyway thanks for the help.

    Hi. I want to buy 2 controllers to make 2 external monitors from 2 laptops with the same model Lenovo T540p, but when i read on the back of the screens, it gives 2 different models for this 2, here are the models: N156HGE -EA1 and B156HT N03.4 , will the screens work if i get 2 controllers of the same model and interchange the screens, or i should just buy 2 different controllers for separate models? Are this 2 screens the same?

  • @qual1t
    @qual1t Жыл бұрын

    Hi Mihai. Both the AUO and Innolux screens you refer to are using eDP signalling with 2 Lanes, eDP version 1.2. Both have 30 pins Connectors. The controller should drive both unless it's firmware is specifically written for one or the other (which you can check before purchasing).

    May I ask, why didn't you just paint the floor also?

  • @qual1t
    @qual1t2 жыл бұрын

    Hi Kimberly, you can't really paint a floor, mainly due to the gaps in the floorboards and the movement of the wood floor over time would cause the paint to fail and peel away. That's why we use a copper sheeting called Bloc Copper on the floor, it provides the metallic radiation reflecting surface like the paint but because it's a fabric, it's flexible.

  • @qual1t
    @qual1t2 жыл бұрын

    Anything conductive will do, you could use tin foil if you wanted, a heavy duty foil would work just as well but could be likely to tear over time if there was movement in the floor (floor boards)

    Big thumbs up! Thanks! I was trying to repair a VAIO PCG-71181M for a friend, and I could not find a model-specific take-apart/disassembly guide anywhere. I almost didn't watch this video, thinking that it would be irrelevant to my model, but after watching and comparing the video to the part I'd purchased ($45 plus $10 shipping), it seemed like it had a high probability of being relevant. I literally had the replacement finished in under 10 minutes.

    Video and instructions are very easy to follow. Was able to successfully replace a screen thanks to this video - and I had no previous experience. I didn't think that I would need one anyway, but you most likely will not need a sharp blade. Fingernails should do. Hope this video is around for a while, thanks!
