I started to collect Lego minifigs in 2000, and I now have over 7000 of them!
Since then, the collection has grown to Modular Buildings, City, Star Wars, Trains... My next project... a Lego city,
So I'm buying sets and parts to MOD them, and I'm making some MOCs while I get the Lego Room ready for the new city!
Please subscribe to see how it all goes.

I voted for the Dark Azure one, but I really like all of them. Hopefully they’ll all be released in another set later in the future.
Honestly I don't mind too much when it comes to what spaceman colour wins any of them will make a fine addition to my collection. Personally voted for the Teal spaceman and the kraken knight faction.
Should be teal or lime in my opinion
Darn it… they are the only two colours that I wasn’t a fan of!!!! But I’ll end up being happy with whatever colour we get.
Look, I’ve wanted a dark azure AND a gold spaceman for a while. But I’ve realized a gold one would be so much better than dark azure, but hopefully someday! Also, I decided to go kraken on the faction one, sorry Jez!
No need to apologise, I’ll be happy with whatever we get, it’ll be an extra spaceman for my display and any castle figures will be appreciated, I don’t mind which.
The extra colors for the spaceman are kinda useless like the turquoise, the yellowish, and the magenta. A gold one would be sick but I think it should be waited out till we have most of all other colors. So the light blue is perfect.
I love the dark Azure colour that Lego make. It was my 2nd choice after gold.
dang this looks REALLY pretty. i think i spy another copy of this set at a cheap price i make make this mod...
I hope you find one. Good luck !
Thats so cool that LEGO letting the community vote! I’ll go with teal I think
GREAT! make sure you vote before the 3rd !
@@MinifigJez 👍
I think that Magenta is too similar to dark pink, and Gold looks bad in my opinion (I think the pearl gold plastic looks cheap, and I think it would really clash with the existing matte spacemen). I personally went with Dark Turquoise because it is such an iconic LEGO color like the existing spacemen are, as well as being another cool toned spaceman to put between green and blue
You’ve made excellent arguments for Dark Turquoise. If I hadn’t already voted, I might have been persuaded to join with you! Basically, I’ll be happy no matter what new colour we end up with.
For me a Teal/Dark Turquoise, Pearl Gold, or Dark Azure Astronaut would be cool,
Which one will you vote for?
Pearl Gold would be cool but I'm more drawn to the Dark Turquoise one
@@MinifigJezIts a Idea concept, A Dark Turquoise Astronaut could be a Medical Officer/Medic for the Classic Spaceman Crew,
@@jeffreybrennan166 I like your thinking !
i voted for the teal spaceman and the Kraken faction
So many different opinions, I can't wait to see which ones win!
An official Purple or Teal would be amazing (a purple one is hard to piece it together)
Unfortunately, I doubt a complete purple figure will ever be released, but the helmet and artab=nks have come down in price considerably, so it's just the space creature, or the torso on it's own which is the hard part to get. And depending on where you live that figure can be as cheap as £4 - £5: www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?S=col22-11 I hope you manage to get one.

Are you gonna make a video on the new Classic Space color vote?
Wow... that was a spooky coincidence, I just uploaded one about half an hour ago ! I was editing it when you posted your comment

Hello Mr. Jez! Please make a video about the Classic Mini-Figure color vote for the new Ideas Gumball Set! 💜🤓
There’s one on the way!!!!
Jez - Have you casted your vote for the next new Classic Space Minifigure colour to be included in the up-and-coming Lego Ideas Minifigure Prize Machine? I voted for teal. Here's hoping!
Yes I've already voted and a video is on its way, hopefully out sometime this evening. Edit: It's now uploaded... and you can see who I voted for!
Use the one with cute baby eyes plz it is my dream to get that one
I can use the baby face on blue and pink, but the white one only comes with the classic smiley face.
These type of videos have been remind me of me and my grandma building legos when I was younger I haven’t built a set a long time she is no longer with us but man building a set will sure bring back some good memories
That’s a cool thing to hear! There’s many small sets to choose from, next time you’re near a toy shop, you should get something and take a nostalgia trip. Thanks for commenting.
Wow. This is so cool.
Yes. I thought it was a cool set to get.
For my taste, I like the tower the most
Yes, the other side looks good but the tower is definitely the house's best feature and is what makes it stand out... I'll definitely be buying one on Saturday!
Great meeting you at BCF (hope you enjoyed) and great video
Yes, we had a great festival. Thanks for volunteering, it couldn't run without the volunteer team. I wore several Lego-related t-shirts and hoodies over the weekend, and had several people comment, so ended up giving out quite a few Minifig Jez promo cards ! Thanks for commenting.
@@MinifigJezno problem, I actually learnt a lot about myself and took to heart a lot of conversations I had over the weekend
This looks sooo much better ❤ makes me wanna buy a bunch of these and build a neighborhood 😂
That would look AWESOME. I bought two of the Harry Potter Privet Drive House to make a 2-house mini neighbourhood, but a whole row of these would look so good. Thanks for commenting.
@@MinifigJez no problem 😄 i love sharing my ideas 🤩
@@timo9934 Great! I love hearing viewers ideas, so keep watching and keep commenting!
These were also a bit before my time but very awesome. I can't believe how great a condition they are in!
You’re just so young and spritely! (They’re before my time too, but my brother had similar sets) For the price I paid, I was expecting it to be in a more tatty condition, I couldn’t believe it. Also… 9900… the last few weeks have been mental, so I’m nearly there!
@@MinifigJez I'm not sure anyone has called me young and sprightly in a good few years. Yea you're so close to 10,000 now, very exciting!
@@SketchyMaker "The box" is still sitting, unopened in my living room !
Brown door looks best
Thanks for letting me know what you thought, I think I'm going to swap it back to brown.
they should make a gray space man
I've already got one in the video !
I think that the alien battlezoid is a reference to galaxy squad. The torso print is almost identical to the bugoid.
Yes, it definitely is. I was only looking at the head, when I made the video, and hadn’t noticed the torso print!!!! Well spotted, and thanks for commenting
@@MinifigJez I read an article yesterday by one of the designers, apparently its a herbivorous species related to the buggoid invaders
@@gdeproductions1225 That's so cool, I love it when the designers are seriously invested in their sets, and back stories like this are so great.
@@MinifigJez someone also pointed out that the plant its holding is very similar to the ones from the planet where the new space sets are set
Those are some old lights!
But still fully working and compatible with today’s parts. LEGO is so cool !
@@MinifigJez And I learnt a few days go that 2x4 Lego bricks in the 1940’s are still compatible with Lego today!
@@Blazing_Ninja Yes, every Lego brick, ever made, should still be compatible with todays bricks !
@@MinifigJez Oh nice!
Oh! A trip down memory lane!😃 Me and my brother had one each of these sets. With five years between us, Lego was often where we found common ground when playing. If I remember correctly, the connections in the bottom of the battery box could also connect to the Lego motor simply by putting it on top of the motor, which had corresponding metal studs on top. It became very top heavy so we usually connected with the cables instead.
Ahhh, thanks for the info. That makes sense… some of the 4.5 motors DO have contacts on the top!!! And that’s why some of the early trains looked so odd, with the HUGE battery box on top of them. I learn new LEGO facts constantly with this KZread channel!!! Thanks so much for commenting.
Enjoyed that. Took me back to my earliest Lego experiences. I had that battery box and those light bricks and signs. 😊
That’s SO cool. My brother had the battery box, but it was for the 4.5v motor, we didn’t have any lights. But I was a lot younger so it was already on its last legs when I got into Lego! Has yours long since gone, or do you still have them?
Long since gone, I’m afraid. I’d like to think they’re still in someone’s Lego collection somewhere, but if they are, they won’t be in anything like pristine condition. I stopped playing with Lego in the 70s, and I’ve only rediscovered it in the last few months!
(I did also have the 4.5 V motor and blue track.)
@@transponderings Well... WELCOME BACK TO LEGO! In the Lego community, they say that you've now come out of your "Dark Ages" !!! (The time between having Lego as a kid and then getting back to it as an adult) Mine was fairly short, only about 10 years!!! (as described in my KZread channel page video, if you've visited it)
They need to bring these sets back, they were so cool!
Yes, and especially the chrome bits! I really miss Lego making parts in chrome.
Didn`t I just wrote an comment here? Seems to have been deleted...? Anyway, I haven`t heard of this set before I saw this video today, it looks very good and I´m a sucker for old electric sets like this. Suprisingly I found one BRAND NEW (new in seal box!) locally this evening and bought it right away! I paid way too much but bet its worth it
That’s cool, a brand new one is nice to have though. Even the packaging from the 60’s is awesome! Your original comment might have been removed by KZread, certain words or if you added a link, would have triggered KZread’s bots
SuckIt FOMO. Just cored 1, claiming to be the last 1 available, on Amazon.
Love this video more please
I normally upload once a week on a Friday. So there will definitely be more. Was it specifically the vintage sets you wanted vids on?
Nice old light kit. I still have mine from the late 70's early 80's . I had to mail in a order for it and wait weeks to get it but it was definitely worth it. Great video. 😁👍
Wow! Thanks so much for letting me know, I had no idea that it was a mail-away set! I wonder if it was in shops too, or just by mail. Is your polystyrene insert still in one piece?
@@MinifigJez You could buy it in stores and as far as the box I don't have anymore. When I was a kid I didn't save all the boxes.
@@kennethswan4657 Thanks for replying too me and letting me know. It's great to find out how people got hold of sets back then. I always remember the yellow pages at the back of Lego catalogues in the 80's, with all teh extras and supplemental parts that you could mail away for. (Not that I ever did, I just stared at them, and imagined!!!!)
Too bad we couldn't mail in those old forms from back then get the old product and definitely get the old pricing. It would be awesome, I would order a ton of stuff. Until next time have a great one. 😁👍
@@kennethswan4657 Many thanks for commenting and chatting. I look forward to future comments.
Oh nice, I've still got that lighting brick and two of those white 2x1 bricks with a wire passthrough, but no plug wires. Wonder if the bulb still works. If I recall the wires correctly, they had split pins that you could slide onto the tabs of a 4.5V battery directly. You know, back when we had 4.5 volt batteries. Apparently the ids are 3LR12 or MN1203 for that battery type. There was also a 6 AA battery box from the 1990s with a forward and backward button which you got in a Lego Technic set that included a small motor with a 1-stud axle sticking out and a knurled shaft inside that. Also, I still have a flag with that 5-bar logo.
YES, they could split and attach to the 4.5 batteries with metal tabs on them. (As a kid, I had a very old WOODEN torch that took one of those batteries!!!!) I remember those 9v battery boxes, I didn’t have one, but I have several of those motors attached to the other 9v boxes. And yes… I have some of those stripe flags, I LOVE them!
Must’ve been hard getting one of these! Great video
You’d think so, but it was just a BrickLink seller, who had them both, selling for very reasonable prices. He’d described them as “good condition” so I was expecting a few scratches or dings, but they were immaculate!!!
l love your videos.can we get this sets ? They're old
Like I said in the video, I t’s 55 years old, so you can only get one if you can find someone who is selling one. Lego release date is August 1st.
Only in North America. UK (where I am) and Europe all get it on 1st June. And is already available to pre-order.
Is there a site where one can purchase the 10 necessary pieces?
One option would be Lego.com (go to the "Bricks and Pieces" section under "Pick-a-brick") OR I would personally use Bricklink.com I hope that helps.
Where's every Lego space faction is awesome ofc you would need to add other coulers
Yes, Blacktron, Blacktron 2m Futuron, Ice Planet, the list would go on for AGES! Once I start... there's so many different themes I could do!
I pray one day that they will make a Staffordshire Bull Terrier (English one) as a toy
That would be good. They make a Terrier and a Bull dog, but that's as close as it gets!! But there are lots of others to choose from: brickset.com/parts?query=dog
In wich sets are all these books. Does Somebody know the Set numbers where these books are
It would take a while for me to go through and work out what sets they all came in,, but if you follow the link below, it will give you a list of all 7 book covers and all 7 1x2 tiles that came inside the books. If you need to know the set each one came from, you can click on it and follow the like to the sets which that piece came in.
