I feel forever blessed to have seen Charles on Halloween right before he passed, and I am enormously grateful to have seen Lab Group exactly 1 year later at the same venue. Best set of my entire life. You guys are unreal. Charles will be with us forever 💯👑

I hate to be negative at all, but their mixing ability is very questionable. 1/4 thru the set and they've wrecked twice and were just weak/sloppy once. Hey, at least they're mixing live. That's more than can be said for a ton of producers who are paid to perform. If you play DJ sets or actually play your productions live it's prob a good idea to plan your sets in advance and practice the mixing so the transitions are smooth as butter. I guess we have to give them a break since this wasn't a planned show, but if they already were extremely skilled at mixing it wouldn't be an issue to not plan the set and just wing it.

I would love to see you go back-to-back in a live Ableton session with another artist who is also in a live Ableton session, while in the midst of grief and emotional messiness. Have a little compassion for them as people and leave your negativity out of this space. Thoughts like that are for you, and only you. You're not known for exceptional artistry or experience-curation on the level as either of these dudes, so I personally suggest piping down.

My friend introduced me to Charles less than a year ago. My brother (Charles reminds me of him) and my wife had died within a the year before and his music opened my reluctant ears and heart to electronic music again (I'm 40) and we both agreed that when possible we would fly from Australia to see him. He had a stunning, sensitive and powerful creativity... to use words.
