I'm stunned at the extraordinary quality of this photography considering it was filmed in 1916! I'm surprised to see rotary snow ploughs way back then too.

They were made at Thunes workshops and was last used in 1970 :-)

Skulle ønske det var mer.. takk, bestefar har mest sannsynlig tatt seg en tur med den båten. Vi bor i øvre Krødsherad med utsikt helt opp til første av denne videoen .

Very nice to recognize some places, or mountaintops, I see the church of Geilo, Hagafoss, Holsfjorden, Hol, Hol gamle kirkje, Ål, stasjon Ål, Bergensbanen, Torpo, but also a lot that I do not recognize. Wonderful to see this old film. To realize where I have started living. Very proud of this area, to live in Hallingdal.
