  wow. Kevin is OG the maestro of speed. From a 2024 perspective this all holds up yet one massive difference in the downhill industry is glaring in technology advancement from the revisions of wheel/trucks which combine to allow today's dh skaters to run setups w a deck which is often shorter than a Rayme Killswitch's entire wheelbase (31"-32") & has wheelbase of almost a foot (12") shorter. We also have begun buying totally flat ( except for a moderate concave ) decks w no W or drop & adding our own surface features where we want them . No drop top mount no flushes & 19"-21" wheelbases let us grip & turn on dimes . We still try to go this fast , like PSwitzer & KRimes , that hasn't changed.

  The Darkside 38" ????.....Otherside was the original and best! Then Rayne just spout the Darkside 'shpeal' when in fact I have two Darksides....yes 36" and one Otherside...and it's a VERY different deck at 38".....so it aint the same!!! Love the Rayne of old, but it seems that it's not run or owned by passionate skateboarders these days which is a shame!
