I play videogames (Lost Ark, Magic Duels, StarCraft 2, Touhou, League of Legends, and Path of Exile mostly, for now) and try to make videos for fun and memories. Maybe I'll start posting more with my new computer and try to figure out some efficient recording practices.

Have you guys seen T4 official dps paladin ?? Sheeeeeesh easily top 4 dps with very high survival ability all and all, the true gigachad!!! Sadly in the incoming balance patch, they probably nerf him .. rip.

I'm new in the game and want to play solo cause i heard there are a lot of toxicity around there, so this gives me hope that I wll be able to do it. Thanks !
@@reinshecer1750 Yeah, it's a bit hard to get into the game at this point because all of the events are about rushing characters to the endgame and skipping content. In my opinion, that should just be for alts, not actual new players. I would suggest picking a dps for your first character and just go through the full story without skipping anything with a powerpass / Arkesia tour. You should be able to solo the full story (support characters do NOT get solo bonuses in the story dungeons though), and it introduces game mechanics one at a time instead of all at once. The zones will be dead because everyone hangs out in endgame towns, and if there are bots still, they hang out in starter zones. The story starts pretty slow, but it escalates quickly after the beginner continent. What server are you on?

@@subagja3243 I main support, so I still don't have dps card sets lol. I was just using Deep Dive (DD 30). Light of Salvation (LOS 18+) is probably best in general, but Kazeros's Legion Commanders (KLC 12+) is better in Kayangel. Lostwind Cliff (LWC 12) is an option for more crit, but I'm not sure if that's ideal.

Yeah, I can't believe story content (for casual players) was locked behind the most difficult raid (for hardcore players), though, it's understandable due to how hard mode has an extra fight to flesh out. The worst part is that a lot of people (like me) are going to go through Kurzan and Echidna before getting the full Thaemine story, which is clearly meant to come first (and it clears up a minor detail in the Echidna epilogue with Brelshaza).
Oh, wow, on my computer, the video is 50 GB of flawless quality, but KZread really butchered it in some parts =/. Not sure if I'm supposed to be re-encoding for a reduced file size (while maintaining good quality) before uploading. At least the cutscenes are usually okay.
By Regulus, this is a long video (and I even cut out the prologue). Kadan Clash: **flies in** "Is this it? You've grown weak, Thaemine..." **flies off** Thaemine: ... <Translation: Dude, I've been fighting 8 heroes for 20 minutes, and they were still wailing on me when you came in!> 01:02:23 What are you holding, Azena?! That is not your usual pose. Shift-G Shandi: "I have no idea what's going on now, but it's clear Thaemine must be dealt with." Gate 4-2 Ready Check: "Some members are not yet ready" Bard: **initiates fight** I think every gate here is a recording of my first clear of that gate specifically, so they were recorded at very different times, with different people (even G4-1 was done weeks before G4-2, where you might notice a significant change in my gameplay and build). Sooo... I'm pretty consistent at surviving (and keeping my party alive) into Gate 4-3, but my pugs are pretty consistent at having 2 or 3 people die during the Gate 4-2 stagger, which has been leading to a lot of total eclipse endings. One run actually had 6 people alive at the end, and I think we only failed because the Kadan clash was missed =/. I like to consider that as my "clear" (I was thinking of uploading that run, but I really want the Kadan clash in the video). My wrists are actually starting to hurt, and I already "feel" like I "personally" beat this raid, so I decided to just buy a bus to unlock the cutscenes and epilogue (shame on me, but at least I'm not buying titles to sneak into lobbies lol - I'm never taking off "Cursed Artist"). I really need to take a break before my wrists break, and I couldn't wait any longer to experience the story and make this video. As much as I enjoy the Thaemine fights (much more than Echidna), I really think Gate 4 is too long for pugs to expect to clear in any reasonable time. If they ever split 4-2/4-3 into a Gate 5, OR if clear times are vastly reduced via Tier 4 power, I would definitely go back and run this regularly. At this point, I have no intention of trying Gate 4 in pugs anymore. Actually, I think Thaemine Gates 3 and 4 are my favourite raids in the game now; kinda sad how poorly pug runs go.

I cleared this on what was honestly going to be my last day of trying before just giving up and quitting. I can't believe how hard it was to find a good party. The only annoying thing about this game is having to deal with players who lie about their raid knowledge / progress / skill =/ (I don't mean to sound too negative; if I join like a phase 1 learning party, I'm fine hanging out in there for hours to get practice, but nothing annoys me more than people making/joining x0 parties when it's evident that they haven't learned the earlier parts). I don't think I'm ever going to do hard mode gate 2 again lol.
Here's the Artist build: **UPDATE: Putting Conviction on Drawing Orchids, Judgment on Sun Well, Purify on Sunsketch, and Bleed on Crane Wing allows you to strictly cast awakenings during the Judgment proc to reduce the Dominion set downtime. -2 Nightmare 4 Dominion set (resolves mana and Adrenaline issues) with full Swiftness (Spec necklace) since I don't want to buy accessories. -Recurrence, Grudge, Adrenaline, Keen Blunt Weapon, Raid Captain (solo mode always gives lvl 3 Yearning regardless of selected buff) -Cooldown gems: One Stroke, Crane Wing, Moonsketch, Sunsketch, Sun Well, Drawing Orchids -Damage gems: One Stroke, Crane Wing, Moonsketch, Sun Well, Pouncing Tiger -23 Upward Stroke [Overwhelm] (for counters/stagger only) -231 One Stroke [Galewind] -212 Pouncing Tiger [Overwhelm] (can go 222 if stagger checks feel sketchy) -121 Crane Wing [Purify] (or Bleed**) -322 Moonsketch [Galewind] -122 Sunsketch [Galewind] (or Purify**) (Agile Strokes is not needed, as solo mode caps attack speed already) -132 Sunwell [Bleed] (or Judgment**) (MP recovery is not needed) -132 Drawing Orchids [Quick Recharge] (or Conviction**) (Agile Strokes is not needed, so take some shielding) -Efflorescence awakening shouldn't be needed since you can trigger Recurrence with a heal orb if needed (you should be able to maintain it with Moonfall mostly, though), so you can take Spectacle for a bit more damage. -I think Ink Well would do slightly more damage and give slightly more identity gauge compared to Moonsketch, but it requires the boss to be stationary for a longer period. -Conviction/Judgment isn't needed for mana, and the cooldowns are already "low enough." I put a quick recharge to help a bit in scenarios where spamming skills endlessly is possible. I imagine you could probably use C/J for the awakening to reduce Dominion downtime, but that sounds like too much work (actually, considering that 20-30 seconds of downtime on a 2 minute buff might be significant, I've added some updates about using C/J**). Due to the long buff windows, I don't think the skill rotation really matters, and you can put in a small effort to back attack. Be sure to use awakening ASAP to keep up Dominion (if using C/J, be sure to order it right and only awaken during Judgment**) and also and Moonfall for Recurrence (heal orbs work if the boss has a stalling feature). Let me know if I missed anything!

Due to lingering damage effects, the ideal rotation is probably something like: Harp - Heavenly Tune - Note Bundle - Stigma - Sonic Vibration - Soundaholic - Sonatina (repeat) There is a hotkey like shift-left click or something like that to tell your harp which enemy to attack (useful in Akkan), but I honestly just don't bother. I can never remember the hotkey lol. Be sure to use awakening and Serenade of Courage ASAP to keep up Dominion and True Courage. There is about 20-30 seconds of downtime, which made me want to do full Nightmare set, but then it was too hard to keep up Adrenaline stacks (I've added some updates about using C/J to reduce this downtime**). Let me know if I missed anything!
Thanks to this video i just realised i can finally play my dmg paladin and run solo mode raids with it.
Yeah, it's actually a really fun build. I originally tried to do a full back attack/entropy/ambush master setup, but this all-out attack variant feels a lot smoother and relaxed in solo mode. Note that I have the full build in the pinned comment above, but I've JUST updated it with some [hopefully] final adjustments.

You just brand, buff, and do 3 attacks. Due to the delayed buff application on Heavenly Blessings, the ideal rotation is probably: Brand-Blessings-Explosion-Flash-Dash and then Brand-Wrath-Execution-Flash-Dash (use Dash after buffing if you need to reposition, though). Back attack when possible, but don't go out of your way for it, otherwise your buff/brand wears off. Let me know if I missed anything!

@@BeBoKize UPDATE: I just realized that regardless of what solo mode buff you pick, you still get a passive lvl 3 Yearning buff, which should cap Atk/Move speed, so you can take Raid Captain instead of Mass Increase. With that change, I think you can switch the first Holy Explosion tripod to Enhanced Strike (slower casting, more damage). I should have also noted that due to the delay on the buff application in Heavenly Blessings, you should specifically use Holy Explosion (or Dash Slash) after Heavenly Blessings and Execution of Justice after Wrath of God. Omg, as I was writing this and double-checking everything, I just realized I didn't have a bleed rune. I'll put that on Dash Slash lol. It might be better to use Alithane's Judgment awakening to fill meter faster (particularly between gates). EDIT: ...Another update: Lauriel kept dodging Sword of Justice just now, and I realized branding with God's Decree (12 tripods, Conviction, cooldown gem) is sufficient. This allows you to get level 12 Holy Explosion without dropping Holy Sword levels (you can even get Holy Sword to level 12 for fights without counters). Also, I think I'm going put Judgment rune on Execution of Justice (Purify on Dash Slash and Bleed on Flash Slash). Apparently the Conviction duration is way too short to be able to proc during the Heavenly Blessings rotation anyways, and I like to use Execution of Justice first in the Wrath of God rotation in case I'm back attacking.

Haha, yeah, it sucks that the most fall deaths happen at the very end, especially for solo mode. Remember all of your push immunity skills, or you can use Balthorr (most people used to use Balthorr during the attack sequence right before he turns into a ghost). Other than that, it's just a matter of knowing the attack patterns, but being overleveled helps a lot lol.

@@MrMeeseeks27 Congrats! When Valtan first released, everyone struggled to survive. We consider the old raids so easy only retrospectively because old players had so many months of practice on all of the raids over time. The new raids are much harder, but experienced players have ... well, experience. I particularly hated the "Shadow pull" part in Kayangel, if that's what's getting you. I started to just use timestops on it (you get like a 1 second window to use it appropriately), and eventually transitioned into using spacebar (much shorter window to use it properly). I do have a solo Kayangel video in this playlist where I use spacebar to dodge (you do it ONCE the "Intense Gaze" debuff WORDS on your character model disappear - ideally dodge into a wall). If you use timestop, I think you can use it pretty much any time the "Intense Gaze" words are visible, and the closer you get it to be when the words disappear, the closer you are to moving into spacebar dodging :P

Hey, it's a major part of the raid (I'm gay btw :P). It was honestly the best looking image I could find when skimming through the video (it's pretty memorable / recognizable). Most of the scenes of her are like "Let's pan across her body slowly" so you only see like her ankle or just her left eye or something lol.
Gate 2 was surprisingly more difficult than expected. I was promised post-Thaemine raids would be more casual. I should have hard mode done and uploaded in the coming weeks, and I was very close to finishing Thaemine Gate 4 yesterday T_T. I might make a solo raid playlist; not sure if anyone is interested in watching that though lol. At least I can store my videos via KZread to save space.

It was fantastic! I always hate vilains but i must say that Thaemine is so good looking and he was 2 super good looking swords while the sword of Kaidan and Thirain are not even close compare to his. Very nice video mate congrats on clear and it was so nice editing with the cutscenes. I ll wait for solo mode to play against him because most of the pugs sucks :/

It's pretty close to the Lost Ark Nexus build. Though, for my sanity, I use Hopper as a timer for when to alternate buffs (Hopper -> Sunsketch -> Filler -> Hopper -> Sunwell -> Filler -> Repeat). Because of that, I put my highest CDR gem on Hopper, and instead of using Quick Prep on Sunwell, I can use Swift Fingers. On paper, this would result in a bit lower buff uptime, but in practice, it's way easier to keep track of. Portal uses purple Focus rune and Swift Fingers. No Conviction/Judgment runes. Two Overwhelm runes and purple Wealth on Starry Night. I used Two Tigers Pouncing Tiger for a while, but I switched back to level 7; with that and no skills higher than level 10, I don't really have mana problems, so 5x3 engravings with VPH. Luminary elixir set. Let me know if I missed something!
Oh, and a tip for anyone who doesn't know (I honestly didn't learn this until very late): After Hopper, there is a fair delay before you can move (ie/ walk) your character again, BUT, if you cast Sunsketch/Sunwell DURING the last hop, it does a pretty significant animation cancel and flows amazingly well.

I only play at 1600x900, so I imagine it wouldn't actually make a difference. The video always looks better when played on my computer compared to KZread, so I figure this is the best it will look anyways lol.
I'm so glad I managed to not only survive to the end in my first clear, but also get it recorded without the software crashing (or forgetting to hit the record hotkey). I can't believe I managed to do the final clash (I was doing the first one almost exclusively); I had never done it before, other than a few times in Trixion practice.

Thinking of this comment (and the others) made me try harder and not give up. I just posted my first Thaemine clear (with cutscenes)! It's only normal mode, though. I'll slowly work my way towards hard mode to get all the cutscenes and epilogue.

Yes, it's true; in the canon story, Tienis does not actually melt into the floor, and Lauriel does not go supernova. Prunya does die, though. Poor Prunya. My favourite parts: I feel rich seeing myself with more than 10mil silver and 10k gold. 1:30 My character is far too happy here. 8:50 Tienis pokes someone off a cliff, and you can see her falling. 23:57 Three of Prunya's orbs were in a line and destroyed at once. 36:54 Absolutely terrible gameplay in these last 30 seconds lol. 40:55 Kadan literally staring at Lauriel's abs. Elgacia really had some Code Geass vibes, and then Beatrice throws out the "Geas" term.

Someone from the other party had pretty much the same movements as me at 21:30. I only noticed I didn't actually have the buff because I didn't freeze mid-air while hopping lol. The race to the photo zone at 33:40 was the most stressful, though.
Azena still finds the bugged Gate 4 music disgusting.

Thanks! Is there anything you wanted to know in particular? I think it's a pretty standard "7M Salvation" build. I only put the crit synergy on spiral tracker. Level 7 gems, 5x3 (PM, KBW, HM, Adrenaline, Grudge), and one spec earring.
