I wasn't sure so I looked it up and found this online, hope it helps: Occupancy by a family member or friend The property will not be subject to the tax if it is not the principal residence of the owner, but is the principal residence of their family member or friend for at least 6 months of the current year.
Agree! 8812 Oxford Rd has a cat in the house tour photos in the primary bedroom ON the bed of all places! Too funny! I like cats but I certainly wouldn’t have my cat in the real estate photos. The agent and photographer should’ve pick up on that. Choose your agent wisely.

How about market data for the region? Here's a tip for sellers. If a realtor ever says "how much do you want to list for"? Find another realtor. A realtor is handsomely paid for doing more than allowing you access to MLS. They are supposed to give you professional advice on how to best sell your home including market data and market comparables. Make them work for their bloated commission.

@@Saltfowler Honestly I moved away a couple of years ago because I lived downtown and the transients were switching from the friendly 'schizo' types you want to give 5 bucks to and listen to a mini rant about how shapeshifting lizardmen are living among us to more dangerous 'opioid addict' types who break into properties and homes and who look like they want to stab you. I have only been back twice so I haven't actually noticed a difference, and anyone reading this should take my opinion as that, my opinion.

Great points. I’ve seen so many realtor photos with pet bowls, beds, litter boxes etc. it’s a dead giveaway. We sold our house quickly when we sent our cats to our daughters and removed all traces of pets from our home for showings. No photos had images of our pet items. A good agent needs to be aware of what you mentioned. I’ve even seen actual pets in some listing photos! Crazy!

WHY SO MUCH XENOPHOBIA IN A BIG COUNTRY SUCH AS CANADA ? NO WONDER TRUDEAU IS BEING IGNORED ON G20 MEETINGS.... SUCH AN EVIL PERSON.
I can’t speak for the larger centers however I don’t notice that to be a problem in our city.
I've lived in both and I say there is no comparison. Kamloops is a real community with heart while Vernon is like a smaller Kelowna but with Kelowna envy and a lot of snobberyfor being in the Okanagan. Asforhospitals,I've been treatedin both and again,I would opt for the larger medical facility in Kelowna.
Interesting! I’ve never noticed Vernon wanting to be Kelowna, in fact I think most are very happy not to be. However I appreciate your opinion.
