  So apparently there are no tricks. Bowlers just let their thumb release from the ball 1st and then gravity is taking over... There are no tricks to bowling, only practice, practice, practice so that you develop muscle memory.

  Great video. I always thought the hand would be under the ball until the lowest part of the swing but clearly, that's not what happens.... only if you use both hands to support the weight of the ball all way down. Like tennis backhands and topspin shots, there's a nifty sweet way to do it .. and like tennis two-handed backhands, it looks kinda awkward to use both hands unless you learn like that since you was a kid...

  Hand goes inside swing plane at the top, wrist cocked at 45 degrees at the ankle, then straighten your hand out in a snapping yoyo motion. Follow through palm updingers should rotate from 7 o’clock to two o’clock when the thumb comes out. The faster you do this, the more revs you impart.
