    hey man, you can absolutely get a baby butt smooth shave with this razor, you might want a sharper blade. Either way, no single blade razor can do perfect shave without a good technique and only one pass with the grain, even with the sharpest blades or even better - straight razors, you wanna do at least a 2nd pass across the grain of your beard. many people do a 3rd against the grain. technique meaning mainly whether or not you pull your skin to get closer shave, angle and force of the blade against your skin. if you wanna improve, just google how to shave with double edge safety razor, there will be many guys with tutorials and proper explanations as to how to get BBS shave even with the mildest razor.

    @LearningAndGrowingInLife11 күн бұрын

    I think, for a closer shave, either switching the RK blade (which is a mild blade) to a sharper blade like Feather or switching over to the AL13-Medium might be better.

    Welcome to the watch world. Enjoy wearing it!

  • @CALCIUM17
    @CALCIUM17Ай бұрын

    It's really cool that you are getting into watch-wearing, and I don't want to rain on your parade at all as it is a cool-looking watch and you should definitely wear it and enjoy it. But, since this came up on my recommended, here is some unsolicited advice: Firstly, the watch is simply too large for your wrist. For your wrist size, you need to look at watches with a 34-39mm diameter really. Anything much over 40mm will look oversized on you. This watch is 45mm which is very large in general. Secondly, Fossil is generally not a great value for money option - they use generic third party Chinese movements, cheap components/materials (for example this watch has a mineral crystal instead of a sapphire crystal), and many of their designs are imitations of other, more expensive watches. Instead, for the same money as a watch like this, you, could look at brands like Orient, Seiko, Hamilton, Tissot, and Citizen. These brands will offer much higher quality, better, Swiss/Japanese movements, and you'll even find some have a sapphire crystal. Welcome to watches...

  • @Jaymarshands
    @JaymarshandsАй бұрын

    Thankyou. Like I mentioned in the video I just wanted a "big dumb watch" if that makes sense. I will look into those other brands if I am ever looking for another watch.

    Are they goat leather? Cause that creasing is insane for 2 days

  • @Jaymarshands

    No they are just pretty thin and VERY oily which makes creasing a little more intense in my experience.

  • @Jaymarshands

    The timberlands look as though the sole is glued on with a cosmetic welt then Blake stitched. In this approach, the uppers fold inward and are glued down then stitched as noted. The waterproof membrane acts like a sock. I purchased a pair of cheapy leather hiking boots from Costco that had this construction. After the waterproof membrane wore out, I tore the boots apart. Good price but will leak, as I discovered this winter. The old fashioned hiking boots look solid. Thank you for posting.

  • @Jaymarshands
    @Jaymarshands2 ай бұрын

    Thank you for the comment. After a bit of research I cannot find any details about the construction of this boot. I had just assumed that they were direct attach like the "classic" Timberlands are. On the inside I can see a Strobel stitch but that is all that I can tell. In my 3 months of wearing them 1-2 times a week there is no signs of the construction failing at all. Obviously that is not long enough to determine construction durability.

    Good job with the video, and a very good job with your articulating a mentality of making progress by tackling things one half at a time. Nice review. I'm a big fan of any electronic device that uses replaceable rechargeable battery cells. Also a fan of devices like this one that use the higher capacity 21700 battery cell instead of the 18650 cell. It's just a little bit larger, but packs so much more punch.

    Check out the Lumintop B01 if you want a bike light capable of being powered also by a rechargeable 21700 for about half the price of this. Max light output of the Lumintop B01 is about half the output of this one, though, if that matters to you.
