crazy to think how different the fishing is now after the tide and hurricanes. Definitely not what it was but still always a fun time. How were you targeting tarpon in apalach? I've never caught one or even know someone that has lol.

Every year there is a fishing tournament out of Port Aransas,Texas called the "Deep Sea Round Up" Way way back in the day the tournament was called the TARPON RODEO.

'incredible' ? - nice job of penning the bird, then he breaks on flush - doesn't take much training to fix that, but does take some time - if more interested in 'limiting out', that's all we need to know

@Sam Treme another comment: "...wouldn't take that shot." yeah, me neither - never shoot over a chasing dog period - love working bird dogs and rewarding good bird work with a downed bird to retrieve - hate the ubiquitous 'if it fly it die' culture surrounding it all - would never spend time with these people

Today is June 18, 2019. It is full moon. The tarpon are near North Padre Island and Port Aransas at this time. They will be at Freeport by July 4.
