Will it survive heavy wake or waves?

  • @GavinRemme

No, definitely wouldn’t take it out into any large bodies of water. I’ve had a few big boats go by and wouldn’t want any bigger waves

About 4 miles per hour! Doesn’t sound fast but for a small boat it’s not bad

As someone who loves to kayak but has lower back issues, I can say some people need motors on their kayaks. Building this would be great because I’ve been thinking about how to put a motor on my current kayak as opposed to buying a new motorized one.

Adjustability in suspension is super super important, as you will never get it just right on paper. For example, go online and look at the Technical Manual for the Tatuus T318. This is a top level race car, used for FIA International Formula 3. Go to Rear Suspension Geometry 5.6.2.1.2, and look at all the different combinations that are designed into the pickup points on the transmission housing. 28 different combinations of pick up points that change the way the rear suspension works..! You should design the space frame to utilize a rigid steel interface plates. Different interface plates can then be used to change your pick up points. These can also be precision machined to make up for fab tolerance issues in the machine frame, so that your suspension pick ups are precise to machining tolerances.

Overclocking on that board? Hmm that doesn't looks so... Oh boy this remember me of my very first attempt in watercooling where I used a jar too as a reservoir back in the times of the Intel Prescotts! I remember having an ATI (yes it was ATI, not yet AMD) Radeon 9800 pro, bios modded @ XT and watercooled too... I was able to beat the hell out of that card!

One of my second 'proper' cars was an NB MX5 / Miata. Same colour as this one, but 2003, so 16in Wheels vs these 15s. then 'upgraded' it to a Lotus Elise (amazing car), then an Mazda Mk3, M3 Convertible (also pretty damn fine - apart from it not being the coupe) and then a Focus ST. Safe to say i bought another NB Mx5 because out of all those nice Cars I've had, the mk2 Mazda was by far the best balanced driving tool I've owned. the best balance of Speed/Handling/Grip/Practicality out of all of them. Just wish they didn't rust so much!

Trust me when you said that you were facing a problem in Noise. And noise levels were near 124 decibels. We literally faced the same issue during our noise. But it was mainly due to echoing of sound in sidepods as the muffler was enclosed within the sidepods. We got it fixed by removing the sidepod and retesting again. This time it was around 105 at 7500 rpm. Unfortunately we couldn't attempt brakes. As we were past the deadline. I was responsible for Electronics and tuning in my team for 3 years and graduating this year as a captain. I could relate to the pain of not having the base map and also the engine parameters with you when you are starting from scratch. Anyways great job with the vehicle!

Adding antifreeze is not a good idea. You are better off just using distilled water. And also i can see your jar still has holes on top, which means the water can evaporate over time and you need to fill it up when it's level decreases. Also if your radiator is aluminum and your cpu block is copper this will lead to corrosion over time, and eventually a leak.

Hey dude is there any good way (for free or low cost) to learn how to use an Emrax motor (axial flux)? Im looking for resources to learn :D Love channels like this! SAE is so cool!

  • @GavinRemme

I am not very familiar with that motor other than it’s used by a ton of EV teams. I’d recommend reading tech reports from other teams as a place to start. See what type of motor control they’re using and work from there. That’d be where I would start!
