  You do not need to use Dimension, just click on the point in the image.   There are many reasons why it may not work. The first thing I would check is the file access permissions. For example, if you are trying it on a work machine, it is possible that it is restricted from accessing the CUI file. Another possible reason is that you are using a profile that does not load the CUI file. A third possible reason is that the key combination or command you have selected has already been entered by someone else. You should also remember that you have to restart Autocad after creating the shortcut.

  Hello, which version are you using? Enable dynamic updates: to automatically update fields, AutoCAD settings must enable dynamic updates. Check the "Open and Save" or "Files" tab of the "OPTIONS" command and make sure that the "Automatic save" option is enabled. or/and MEASUREMENT command: the "MEASUREMENT" command determines the display of values based on the current AutoCAD measurements. Check the "MEASUREMENT" command settings and make sure they are configured as expected. This should be set to 1

  does not work at all or only in Autocad? at the bottom right there is a hamburger menu so you can display many functions on the lower frame. So you can control the functions with the mouse instead of the function keys. hope I understood correctly

  @@dronedrone2077 this could be a hardware compatibility issue. I've read about it before, but I've never seen anything like it. I've only seen it on laptops where you also had to press the FN key. unfortunately, the function keys are not commands to which you can assign a shortcut. I look around

  @@dronedrone2077 my last idea. the manufacturer of the computer sometimes adds extra functions to their keys: "intelligent keyboard", "multimedia", "volume", "brightness", etc. it would be worth checking whether you have an application from the manufacturer, e.g. lenovo "my smart settings". there you can turn off these extra functions. if it doesn't work only in autocad, it's probably HW compatibility
