You just unplug and unscrew the nuts for the exhaust actuators? And move the actuators to the new exhaust?? That easy?
@LucidBadger4 ай бұрын
When you reinstall them on the new exhaust you have to line up the coil slightly. But otherwise it’s pretty simple and straightforward. I would say the hardest part of the whole install is getting the stock exhaust to separate and pull off.

@@LucidBadgerdebating on the street version or race. How do you like the street? Louder than stock?
@LucidBadger4 ай бұрын
It is definitely louder and I really enjoy the street version. I also went with the street version because eventually I plan to do long tube headers and high flow cats which will also make it slightly louder. So I was keeping all that in mind so that it doesn’t get too obnoxious.

Do you still get the pops with this exhaust?

Yes you do.

I don’t know about that. I can’t imagine it would be too different from the Challenger though.

Did your check engine light come on after installation? An emissions code pops up. For mine it did, I think it has to do with acutator. Do you know how I can fix this issue ?
@LucidBadger9 ай бұрын
I have not had any codes. The instructions said to keep the actuators on the same side as it comes from the factory. Could you of accidentally switched them around? Also if you know the specific code your car is throwing you can get more details of what is wrong.

Installed mine last mine, only issue id DRONE. Swapped out mbrp resonators for Vibrants. Better and deeper sound, with less drone. Next, I will try Vibrant 1742 ultra quiet resonators to remove balance of drone. UPDATE....vibrant 1142's stopped the 2000 rpm drone. Sound is the same at WOT, and quiet at idle. So Success, no drone

I do get some drone when I’m light on the throttle from about 2,000 - 2,200 RPM.

Is the mbrp street exhaust the same as the MBRP armor lite?
@LucidBadger9 ай бұрын
The Street version exhaust has two material choices which it is constructed from. The Armor Lite uses Aluminized Steel and the Armor Pro uses Stainless Steel. The Stainless Steel will give the best protection against corrosion. Aside from the material used to make the exhaust they are the same. The same will apply to the Race version.

@@LucidBadger Thats cool! There's not a lot of 5.7 vids on mbrp and I just wanna get some feedback from people who have had both. I know the 6.4 is gonna be louder overall but it gives me a good idea on what my Challenger will sound like.

Unfortunately I can not speak to how the 5.7 would sound, but I would think it should be very comparable. Best of luck in your adventure!
