  So a small amount of game dev experience here; likely what’s going on here is the “water” is cube shaped and our player here has found a spot where that cube doesn’t cover. The cube of water doesn’t expand it just is a volume of space that gives a visual distortion and a sound cue. This water volume will get removed when thicket quest is completed. This was missed during play testing
