Lidia is a lot of fun to use in Tekken 7. She hits hard and fast and not too difficult to use but not easy or braindead like Hitomi. Her greatest strength is her mix up game and she's hard to stop once she's in the zone.

The other cool male DOA characters are Hayate, Bayman, Jann Lee, Gen Fu, Raidou, Genra, Rig, and Bass. Just because DOA lead character is a female doesn't mean that it isn't a great fighting game. DOA giving the females more spotlight than other fighting games make DOA unique. DOA has shown several times in the past that it can stand in the ring with other fighting games. Compared to Tekken, the older DOA games have aged a lot better than the older Tekken games, showing how DOA was ahead of its time. The reason you think DOA is dead is due to poor management of the latest games since DOA creator Tom Itagaki is no longer there.

To me, I feel like Lydia is a good mix up character for people to use, because you don’t know what she’s capable of. She’s like if a hard hitting character like Hitomi and other characters like her was also a very heavy stance character. I even tried her in T7 and it was decent, I probably need more time with her but I can tell you, it was fun playing her. But it’s cool to see you Emery play her, even though you wouldn’t play her professionally or competitively.

Aesthetically DOA4. Mechanically DOA5. But add new mechanics and get rid of cheap and easy guarantees found in 5. Definitely need cross play between consoles. Need proper net code support for Xbox players too.

Remember she was designed for tekken 8 then back ported into tekken 7 for the final dlc before tekken 8 released. So in hindsight she definitely should have been a base game roster character for tekken 8.

The DLC practice is goofy, agreed. Also I do worry about the licensed DLC, even of its free. I say this because I only developed an interest in Dead or Alive quite recently, as in AFTER Mai and a bunch of other licenced outfits and arena DLCs got delisted from DoA 5. Only way to feasibly get hold of them now is jumping a bunch of hoops and pirating, which varies from being relatively straightforward on something like the PSVita to an overpriced esoteric mess for PC (mainly as I don't have a gaming PC yet, and even if I did, I'd then need to learn how to do all the 7 seas stuff and get the delisted DLC working).

You genuinely made me laugh throughout the video, In the trailer which often gets skipped shows ogre standing near the volcano and I’d say he’ll be our 4th… the rest are either clones or trained in the Mishima style ready for sacrifice allowing Heihachi to return to life. Do agree with the pay for dlc OG characters, I really hope they don’t give him a really broken low, I love the fact he’s epic but flawed it makes him more unique.

I fully agree with you regarding paying for characters that were always considered the main character. I've been saying the same thing about wanting Lei Wulong back in the game, but I think it's ridiculous that I may potentially have to pay to unlock him not once, but twice now.

There are like 50 must have characters in tekken when a 30 character base roster is already massive for a fighting game. Important characters will end up dlc solely on the basis that you can't fit them all in the base game
