I have 2 Questions: How do you know what to study.. At the moment I am learning Python just the basics, but how do you choose what to study on the topic to focus on day one vs day two? Love your content by the way. Im new to your channel 2. How are you making a portfolio for employer's? Github, your won website ( portfolio section)

I would disagree that data scientist roles would need Experimentation and metric skills. Obviously it's good if someone has them but it's more so used by product data scientists.

Hi, I love your content two questions. Would you also keep practicing Python? I know that is one of the skills tech skills that’s needed as you work in data and also have you ever thought about being a Data engineer?

These videos are great, especially for moral support. I'm working full-time and doing an online CS degree and it can be very difficult to find motivation and plan studying in when you're a busy with work and trying to have any sort of social life. Seeing you persisting through the same struggles helps keep me on track and shows me that other people are going through the same thing. Thanks for making these!

Your reflections about your state of mind and anxiety about finding a data science job are too real, I basically had these exact same thoughts earlier this year during my job search. It’s a tough market right now but your positive mental attitude and approach to learning seem like a really solid foundation, I’m sure you’ll find success 🎉🎉

Im so glad to have come across your video! I'm also 30 and currently transitioning from physical therapy to software engineering and I doubt myself often for making a career change at this age. Seeing someone like you out there doing the same thing makes me feel a lot better. I hope the result will be worth it. In the meantime, let's keep the grind going!

Great content, thank you for teaching me about StrataScratch. One thing I would suggest when filming outside is to record yourself doing something at the Starbucks, but if you want to say something to the camera do it afterwards at your home over the video of you studying / pretending to talk at Starbucks ( as weird as it sounds ) that way you don't get all the background chatter and noise, and you can work with a more professional microphone at home. Also it would probably feel less awkward talking at home. :D

Hey Soph, keep up the grind. I am gainfully employed in IT but trying to switch over to Systems Administration and am running into similar "impossibilities." 5 interviews went to the final steps but no hire. Currently in another one and despite my best efforts, im invested in the end result. Only thing we can control is upskilling and to keep applying. Best of luck!

@SophZhang11 күн бұрын
Book is more detailed and has more context than lectures for sure. But in lectures or discussions, you hear about your classmates experience with the topic (sometimes they are really insightful and sometimes straight up irrelevant), and you can't find that in a textbook

Seeing you learning A/B testing while being a little confused makes me feel part of a community lol. I’m taking a causal experiment course this semester, and statistical concepts take multiple interpretation to truly understand. There are some KZreadrs with content specific to visualizing statistical concept. I would suggest the KZread channel “Very Normal”
