So what most people fail to take into account is why Paul said that. Remember the Apostles still had some of the Judaism customs even though they had converted into Christianity. So they could't change everything over night. Who chooses and gives Teachers/Pastors is supposed to be God. So if God so chooses to give a woman the gift to teach so shall it be so. Even in Paul's time there were a few women preachers whom God gave the gift of teaching. Romans 16:1 I commend to you our sister Phoebe, a deacon of the church in Cenchreae. Joel 2:28 Your sons and Daughters shall prophesy. God looks at the heart, so in Christianity there is neither Jew nor Greek, man or woman when it comes to whom God chooses to use.

Jeremiah 17:11 and 1Timothy 6:10 says it all. The scriptures are written to guide us in the way of godly living and by taking heed to them we save ourselves a lot of pain. Having abundance without God will only bring vexation of spirit. You will walk around all the material things and still feel empty inside.
