    Hey friend, I relate to what you say. We've been FB friends for a while, but I never knew you struggled with that. I always thought you were handsome. I'm on the other end of the rope, where I think I'm always fat and therefore unattractive, unworthy, and for sure shouldn't show my body in public until I'm the skinniest or muscled. I had deeper issues with this in my early 20s, and I'd go down some really dark paths. I'm not there anymore, but I still have twisted outlook on how I look. I lived in the gayest city until recently too, and noticed how even more difficult it was to feel comfortable. I hope you're doing well in your mental process as well as in your physical process. Sending hugs.

    Just wanted to commend you on the progress you've worked on and recognizing things you can improve on for the future. I've been working on gaining back weight I lost, and then some, since I was diagnosed with Graves disease a few months ago. Using a nutrition app to ensure I meet and slightly exceed my daily caloric intake has been so beneficial, especially in keeping my cholesterol and sodium intake at reasonable levels. And I've been guilty of missing a meal sometimes in the past too - today I made a meal with two servings to make up for not eating lunch due to poor planning and scheduling. And eventually I'll start working out again when my condition is managed. So yeah, failures happen to all of us, but the best learn from them and I know you can too.

    I appreciate you sharing! Tracking calories is a great idea. I find that's a little tricky to do when it's food you cook, but it does make me more aware of how many I am consuming and gives you a goal to reach. I really should start doing that again, even if the calorie counts are an estimate... but hang in there. It sounds like you are on the right path too 🙏💞

  • @slimskink88
    @slimskink88 Жыл бұрын

    Thanks, same to you! And yeah in the case of cooked meals I’ve inputted almost each ingredient individually (spices aren’t very caloric). But in some apps you can save a meal you eat often in recipes so its caloric value, carbs, protein, vitamins, etc. are all available to input instantly with a button press. It can be a rough estimate process, though better than calculating for a restaurant meal (which is one reason I don’t get takeout, the other being cost).

    I think you are a wonderful person, you are smart & intelligent. I feel as though I should be honest with you, I hope you take what I’m going to say, with the love that ❤️it was intended. You cannot survive on a shake a day , or even a small meal. You also can’t survive on tiny meals, men burn more calories than women. Men require a higher calorie intake to be healthy. When body builders want to increase their weight, they double up on the amount of food they eat. They generally eat 6 times a day, with larger portions. Then they are able to gain weight. Generally, people can skip a meal , here and there but , they can easily replace another meal, without losing weight. You are operating with a weight deficit, you burn more calories, than you take in. During the month you gained 2 pounds, you will easily loose the 2 pounds, when you skip meals , and maybe loose an additional 3 or more pounds. Your body requires a certain amount of body weight to be healthy, it’s operating wit a deficit at the moment. It’s difficult to maintain & gain weight without eating a significant amount of calories each day. I imagine you are aware of this but , maybe, you need a gentle reminder, that you are worth eating for , and worthy of self care. A form of loving yourself, is to feed yourself a significant amount of food, to keep yourself healthy. If I lived near you, I would have over to eat 3 or more times a day, sadly, I don’t. I know you struggle with preparing food for yourself. Have you looked into a food delivery service 🚚 that provides ready to cook meals ?This might help you with your motivation. I’m pulling for you , and I want you to succeed. ❤🌈

    Thank you for writing and giving me some tough love. I understand what has to change, but it’s something in my brain that doesn’t want to eat. I had meals delivered years ago but they would just stack up in the fridge so it’s a waste of money. But I’m going to keep trying :)

    You should use Vaseline on your cut , it helps prevents scars. Have you spoken to a nutritionist? They can give you a diet to follow. Therapy also helps, everyone I know has seen at a therapist, at some point in time. I’ve previously seen a therapist, when I had ended my long term relationship. It helped me a great deal. ❤

  • @heyblushi7922
    @heyblushi7922 Жыл бұрын

    Good questions! :) Therapy: I went to therapy for 6-7 years and nothing really changed with my weight. I don’t see that as the solution for me, but my mentor is a therapist and she will put on the therapy hat when she needs to for me. Otherwise we usually go at things from the manifestation mindset. Nutritionist: Yes! I went to one for months and she even used a scare tactic on me saying if I don’t change my diet soon, I will die. It taught me what to eat and how much, but the problem is I still struggle because it’s a mental thing. Thanks for the tip with Vaseline! I will pick some up tomorrow!

    Did you get nervous 😬 when the ferry ⛴️ took on water ? Did the women in the background ( the ones who were talking loudly, and wouldn’t stop talking) annoy you? Especially, since you were on the ferry ⛴️ for so long? The homes were definitely beautiful, and I have often thought about moving to Florida but, the current political climate, gravely concerns me. I hope you had a snack with your tea 🫖. ❤

    I’ve explored Abraham Hicks, Joseph Murphy and Dr. Joe Dispenza, but Neville is the only person who resonates with me. You are doing a great job giving yourself grace. No one is perfect. I don’t know anything about manifesting but I put it on my summer projects list. Do you consciously attend to how you are feeling physically and emotionally?

  • @heyblushi7922
    @heyblushi7922 Жыл бұрын

    Thank you 🙏 yes I do! I try to be as present as possible with myself. When I’m focused on the past or future, it’s things I can’t control. If you’re curious about manifesting, purchase The Complete Reader by Neville Goddard on Amazon. It’s really cheap, and includes all his best books. There is a lot of references to the Bible throughout the book, but it’s not from a religious stance with never resonated with me. He uses the Bible to explain the states of human consciousness. And how everything you see is a reflection of who you are being. And therefore, you have the ability to change anything.
