I surfed in a Surf contest against Yancy Spencer in the late 60's at Navarre Beach. He was just a kid and I was in high school. He easily won his heat by getting great nose rides. He was small and could stand on the nose for a long time..

is it the same in panama city as in oakaloosa? What I mean is double red flags mean even a bodyboarder with pro gear and fins and suit cannot catch waves. This drives me nuts about the area

There was one day last week out there when the tide was real low and the 2nd sandbar really turned on! Over head on the outside peak with just a handful of guys out there. But the inside was an absolute zoo.

Right on. Sounds nuts. Even that day I was there on the walk back to car the outside closer to pier was breaking top to bottom. But looked like it would be a hard paddle out.

Good stuff dude. I got my pier pass for this reason. I love going out there to watch the Tigers. I felt like a tourist 3 years ago when I first saw them. It was awesome, but I'm definitely not surfing the outside bar during the summer. I don't care if they're "well fed". LOL
