When Paul says to use a heatgun will this permantly flare the pipe and use floplast solvent to weld the spigot on 1 end? Have you tried pushing wine corks in? I have a ton in a bag that are 22mm I once bought in a charity shop. Will they shift easily in as they will need to go in up to 6 inch looking at your video with the revised spigot size.
Hi, I can't comment on this as I have not tried, I suggest to buy a section of pipe to experiment with.
I'll report back my findings.
22mm corks go in stiff (which you want) and pushed into position with a mallet and a screwdriver marked to the depth the spigot will go. Using a heat gun I pushed in 1 side 12.5 cm deep and the outer pipe shrunk back which was a nice side effect. I decided to stick out 7cm for the spicot clip hole bit as 12.5cm would become problematic keeping flared. I did 1 test flare and it is workable. I hope to have this done coming week and test over the weekend. 25mm Conduit pipe and 21.5mm overflow pipe from toolstation. Got clips from amazon will recommend when tested. To be continued...
Hi Steve always interesting to see everyone's take on this yearly social and it was nice that everyone caught , congrats on your captures and shame about the lost one but I'm sure your over that by now. Until next time take care and stay safe my friend
Cheers Clive 👍
Nice one bud!
You really need to set the sensitive right mate I never have beeps when it’s raining on my delks, all I do is change it to about a 1/2 way in light rain a 3rd in very heavy rain, I never get any problems then bud. Best alarms I’ve ever had bud Really enjoyed this mate looks like u had a great social tho bud really enjoy the videos as usual
I was going to go to the Sandhurst social. Jamie Bellhouse is my daughter’s partner. He’s a really nice guy. Maybe I’ll see you at another social? I do enjoy your vids. Pete.
Thanks Pete, hopefully catch you there next year!
@@CarpBites whereabouts are you based mate? You seem to be on the A303 a lot.
I live close to Stonehenge!
@@CarpBites not too far from me then. I’m in Andover.
Very nice to watch but it is a social would of been nice if you walked around and introduced the other bloggers instead of a one man social
Fair enough 👍
Good film, looks a nice venue at least all attending caught sometimes socials can be very Peggy 👍🏻
Cheers mate, yes its a good venue for a social 👍
Unlucky losing the bigger one Steve. Looks like it was a good social.
Cheers Sean, yes they are always good, plus the lake was perfect for it.
good info and money saving tips, I use the gas version and can vouch for the alternative pads 👍
Great video mate, I am off to Coking next weekend. Quick question though, where did you get your bracket for you bait boat and Deeper?
I think I got it off ebay
It's an old link www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Deeper-Pro-Plus-Chirp-Universal-Mount-Bait-Boat-Arm-For-All-Deeper-Sonar-/303491621556?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292
Yeah, you are breathing a toxic mix of chemicals while you are repelling mosquitos.
Great piece of kit. I use one for my French adventures. Better to discourage the blighters than trying to kill umm off once their inside. last ages as well, one tab will do almost a week. I only put it on for about 10mins before getting in the bivvy.
I live in the highlands Scotland and there is nothing in the world that stop the fucking bastards
Thanks Steve - very handy tips and tricks to help on the bank!
Think I'll stick to my tiny repel they work great no odder no smoke and no gas burning away wen the pad has run out they last longer to
Nice review mate 👍🏻you should do more
Actually in Egpyt as I'm watching, git told about the Mozzis here and Brough everything for em....only seen 1 and been bit once (so far) 7 days in and 3 days left.
Well done mate
Great video mate, some nice fish too! Nice drone footage at start! Hope you get car sorted for the ytbs!!
Cheers Chris, car should be fine by then, having to borrow a car for this weekends trip though. Look forward to seeing you next week 👍
Gutted about the clutch 😒 car trouble.. always an expense and a headache. some lovely fish though! I fished on Wadmill a couple of weekends ago, only 1 fish?? Perhaps I should've tried Willow Bank 😄
Cheers Trev, yes it's an absolute nightmare, had to borrow a car to enable me to get out this weekend. Any lake can be a ball ache at times, just need to sit through the bad times and wait for the good ones, they will come. Be lucky mate
@@CarpBites Oh no that sucks 😞 sorry to hear that.. yea I only did a 24 so made the most of it I guess, should look at doing longer session down the line I reckon?!
Great vlog Steve and congratulations on the fish and winning the bite alarms, Fox did a milestone subscriber giveaway a couple of years ago and i was lucky enough to win a set of Fox mini micron camo versions, couldn't believe my luck, hope your cars fixed soon mine has been off the road for 8 weeks and itching to get back out soon, take care.
Cheers Wayne, was a challenging session, nice yo win something aint it! 👍
Gunna try a pizza on my cob the next time I’m out :)
You won't regret it!
Pineapple on pizza should be a crime, disgusting 🤢🤮 Good vlog btw 👍🏻
Hi Steve another good watch my friend ànd you had quite a session so congrats on all the captures. Thank god for the AA hope everything worked out OK, until next time take care and stay safe my friend
Thanks Clive, been a real headache this week, especially as I am now on long planned social, had to borrow a car to get here! Big fan of the AA, my wife works for them!
Should of spent money wisely on a new car, definitely not on magic beans 👎
Had my TXID’s since they came out upgraded my 25 year old originals you can’t beat the new versions but only thing I dont like is they are too complicated sometimes.. factory reset is the only setting I remember and you’ll find most anglers use them on that setting & tone… Cant beat an afternoon nap in the bivvy either 😂 this channel is always a realistic watch mate - nice one 👍🏻
Thanks Gary, the delks are complicated, but I'm getting there with them. I try and be as real as possible in my vlogs, if I'm struggling, I'll show it, after all I am no professional angler, just a fella who loves fishing, and sometimes watching the pros can get boring.
@@CarpBites yeah I know mate👍🏻 Delkim do have short videos on how to the important things..but teaching an old dog new tricks ain’t easy tho
Loved the video mate, haven’t fished willow myself yet but does look a nice lake. I have the txi ds I got mine when they first came out a couple years ago, absolutely love mine best alarms I’ve ever had. My mate who I fish with have the soniks and the delkims are miles apart in every aspect in my opinion. I think it would be unfair on the soniks to compare them with delkims lol bit like Real Madrid vs Scunthorpe 🤣
Thanks Rich, glad you enjoyed it. It was a slow session and I think uou can see how it was getting to me. Delks are primed as I write, fingers crossed 🤞
What pizza would you guys have?
Meat feast, defo not 🎍🤢🤮
Great vid , I prefer the Meaty ones my self with loads of BBQ sauce
Hope you enjoy the video!
congratulations on a great hunt, my friend.can you tell me the name of the fishing rods?
They are 12 foot Sonik Tournos 3.25 lb
Just watched both videos, I'm quite impressed. I'm also looking at making one but was thinking of heating the end of the conduit with a heat gun and pushing another piece in to expand it for a snug fit, then also using the tent pole clips to secure the sections. Also in your fist video (which will now be a moot point) you used gorilla glue, if you used solvent weld there'd have been no need to "key" the joints being glued, I thought I'd mention it for your consideration for any future projects.
All recommendations are gratefully received, thanks for watching and enjoy using the pole, be lucky mate 👍
Congratulations on your new PB top angling
Cheers Mate👍
Magic bean fastest growing new pike bait 😂
Seems that way! But seriously, when combined with dark pellets they are amazing.
Hi Steve massive congratulations on that stonking PB , good watch as always. Until next time take care and stay safe my friend.
Thanks for the kind words Clive, be safe and be lucky mate 👍
