Really good. Overlooked by the masses of play along users, cuz they can't recognize the real deal when they hear it. I will use this as a pianist, but I've got to play e bass for a school event tomorrow and this is a perfect basic basic template for e bass. a rarity. Useful for duo practice, as you suggest,.. no cheesy pre fab drum or bass loops. THANKS !! subbed.

@@mobilefriendlyjazzbacking-5881 You are welcome. I could write paragraphs , volumes about how this is "just right". The proper long sustain, the tone. The good swing syncopation, but with the attack mostly on the beat, because "HELLO?! IT's A DUO!! THERE'S NO DRUMMER PLAYING A STEADY RIDE CYMBAL SO WE NEED SOME ANCHORING INTO THE GROOVE!", The fact that you are playing and identifying the chord tones first and foremost, and always. because that's your role, in 1956 or even in 2024, A bassist I once played with in California took lessons with Leroy Vinegar, and quoted Leroy "most important thing, I play the ROOTS.". Such an obvious basic bit of wisdom for most situations, unless you're Evans and Le Faro, trying to do "something new", please Mr. Buford T. "Jaco" Straightahead III, please give me the damn root notes on every bar so I can relax and create good comping or soloing without it getting hazy and unfocussed . The obvious correct choice to play cut time for the first chorus, and then walk, to make it real, as it would be done on a pick up gig or in a session. if you put a drum track on this, and a thumbnail of a bikini babe holding a bass, you will get 1,000,000 views. Don't do it. Be a rare jewel. I wish I could hire you for my gig in Frankfurt . thanks again I wll use this and any other vids you make for practice and be so very thankful for them.!!! all the best MT
