    This was awesome! I am new to procedural workflows and this had been helping me a lot to shift into that mindset. I'm loving the simple math that can create something really cool that looks complex. I can't wait for the next one!

    This is the motivation i needed to get back to unreal, btw what about importing 3d tracked camera for VFX work into unreal, is it acheivable?

    Can you export the animation as an fbx?

  • @nourghafarji
    @nourghafarjiАй бұрын

    @@IsaacOster Yes, i can, it's a smooth process. I am interested more in CGI work combining Animations with real footage, "real footage" is the camera tracked stuff that we get from for example 3DEqualizer to Maya, i know we can import cameras to unreal, but can we get the footage aligned with the camera. i was hoping to get some procedural vfx in Unreal and get some nice animations going.

    @@nourghafarji I haven't done this exact thing, but if you have accurate transform data on your camera it should work pretty seamlessly. One way to find out : )

    Heyy I'm getting an error in Maya with this line "self.btn_close.clicked.connect(self.close)" line 34: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'clicked' . Does anyone know what might be the issue .

  • @IsaacOster

    This means the code doesn't know what the button is, so it can't find the clicked function. This can happen if you remove the close button from your Ui file.

    Maya has no support for PySide6? I tried but it keeps complaining about module not found. Tried to manual install them into Maya but couldn't even launch Maya anymore. Guess I stick to PySide2 then.

  • @IsaacOster
    @IsaacOster6 ай бұрын

    I believe Maya's entire UI is built with PySide2, so it might be particular about importing two related modules. Can you import some other python module saved in the same location?

    for the BlendMode nodes you can get .value and .name on them so you don't have to convert using str(). It's not in the docs but if you print(dir(blendNode)) it shows up.

    Is there a way to export the lowpoly mesh with the creasing information to maya? Or would you have to zRemesh every piece and make sure the smoothness and crease gets captured before rendering in maya?
