  These two were a perfect match. I have this theory that every great tenor has a baritone who completes him, and when they meet, they are even better. Like Corelli and Bastianini, Domingo and Milnes, Björling and Warren, and definitely Carreras and Cappuccilli.

  It's incredible, even not having the best voice for this role, Carreras sings and stages with great conviction and authority. Impeccable phrasing, and timbre is a beauty. Cappuccilli as always fantastic. Bravo!!

  He virtually always did. He did the same in the "si, pel ciel" duet from Otello. If there was an Ab, A, or even Bb to be sung.....he almost always did.
