    Thanks for the sharing!! My ideal strap for it is actually the one they use on Orca Whale, which looks like more seamless and smooth. But didn’t being able to find the alternatives. Will def check out the reckons in videos and comments🎉

    All praise to the Chinese for producing such quality watches and many other consumer items, and by doing so, showing up the western produced watches to be highly overpriced and in many cases over rated.

    Nice watches both of them. But for me that stupid date complication ruins it all. And at 4 o clock?? It looks bad!!! Who the hell need the date when they dive? Who the hell need the date complication today, period????? It`s a shame that so many watches today come with date complication. So to all manufacturers, educate people and remove that stupid complication that 0.001% want.......

    I really don't think they mill the upper part even on the thicker clasp. If it were to guess I'd say they cut it and the bend it. bending only becomes more complicated at a 10mm thickness, and those are like 2-3mm. milling that would take away way to much excess material making it unpractical and more expensive...

    The stock crown on the Kamasu is fkn terrible. If you can find the stock code and supplier for a replacement crown for the newer Mako3 (I have the RN-AA0820R) then I recommend you buy it and put that crown into the Kamasu as it's a huge improvement.

  • @thegorn
    @thegorn11 күн бұрын

    I bought a Kamasu RA-AA0003R19B about a year ago but can't stand the crown. The newer Mako3 has basically the same case and has an awesome crown. So I bought the Mako3 RN-AA0820R in the red (JDM for the kanji day wheel), and will put my Kamsu dial and hands in that, along with a domed crystal + clear AR from Seikomods, in order to protect the aluminum bezel with the dome so it doesn't get all scratched up. I also have a Strapcode bracelet with solid end links, but I don't like the fold-over flap that makes a noise, so will replace it with one of these clasps. So I'll end up with combining two watches, with an aftermarket crystal from one supplier, aftermarket bracelet from a second supplier, and an aftermarket clasp from a third supplier, just to end up with my dream Kamasu!

  • @MP-wj5so
    @MP-wj5so12 күн бұрын

    Although without a doubt the premium clasp is of better quality and robustness, I've found that when working on a laptop having a pressed clasp can be an advantage as it sits flatter and doesn't tend to tap the laptop surface as loudly. I'm finding that having a variety of watches with different build elements is advantageous, allowing me more flexibility depending on the task at hand. Thank you for the link to the premium quality clasp. I expect that at some point in the future, I'll have a bracelet that I will want to upgrade!

  • @NorthernWatchClub

    Sorry if this completely missed me but is the issue the additional flap on the clasp? Because I know there are brands like Victorinox and Tudor which still use the additional flap on their more premium watches and they still look schmick!

  • @NorthernWatchClub
    @NorthernWatchClub12 күн бұрын

    It's not about the flap thing it's that cheaper clasps are pressed instead of milled making them feel cheaper and less premium, I believe on Tudors and Victorinoz they are milled with that flap

    @@NorthernWatchClub I have a Kamasu and put a Strapcode jubilee style bracelet on it. It's a nice bracelet with solid end links, but the clasp has a flap which makes this tappy tap tap noise which I hate, so I bought some of these clasps and will fit one. My strapcode is 18mm at the clasp down from 22mm lugs. I bought three as I have a couple of other watches to replace the clasp on as well. Thanks for the heads up.

    I got exactly the same Promaster as yours, altough I have some doubts concerning it. Firs off: mine didn't come inside that mini scuba tank; second: the strap has no decompression graphics printed on it (other models that I researched online does have it); third: the 12h lume dot on the bezel looks kinda bumped compared to other models wich it seems to be flatten out a little; fourth: my bezel has some vertical play as well as some rattling around 6h upon pressing it. I bought it as a BN0151-17L, I think everything looks fine excpet for these little details. What's your perception on it? Do you find it intriguing that our models have these differences in relation to other we see online outta there? Doesn't it bother you? Thanks and cheers!

  • @kazenriq
    @kazenriq12 күн бұрын

    @@NorthernWatchClub that's what I also came up as a conclusion. The core functionalities and overall looks are all doing fine, the vertical play is not a big issue according to the seller, "it doesn't spoil the water resistance". So that, I chose to keep my _precious_ without concernings.

  • @NorthernWatchClub
    @NorthernWatchClub11 күн бұрын

    Personally I find the stock bracelet comfortable and I don't understand the problem with hollow end links. I even prefer the aluminium bezel insert. A bigger crown would be better, I won't deny that, but it hardly matters in day to day use.
