I vacation in Gulfport/Biloxi at least once a year but have yet to explore too much on the Ocean Springs side of things and need to change that because I’ve heard nothing but good things
It’s beautiful. You should check out Bay St Louis as well.
I remember the Jefferson Davis home, I grew there, My dad worked at INGAS SHIP YARD.
It’s a beautiful part of the country
Went there on a 6th grade field trip ..1975.
LOVE IT
Much appreciated! Thanks for watching!
Great video. Best one so far of Pascagoula.. Thanks!
Thanks for watching
Pascagoula Beach !! Yep it's a little known perfect Gem of a Gulfside Beach ,its probably not..I mean it's on the too long expansive list of my all time beaches . I remember visiting Destin ,Navarre , Santa Rosa ,even orange Beach Alabama and of course myself being from the tri Beach elite area in North East Florida, I had to ponder the vast range of integrity, but !! When it comes to beaches in the pas-Pooint initial proximity, hey!!? Pascagoula Beach is definitely the most beautiful popular way to get to horn island. And for historical purposes the beach pier has 3135 tread boards underfoot from entry to The End".....did you know Fernandina beach Florida is rated on the too 25 Beach destinations globally, yes 😀 and the last time I carried me homes to my kin , to Jax. Beach Florida, on crowded 4th of July weekend vacation I was swimming about 200 yards offshoreline.and forrunes favorite child being me "AGAIN " came face to face with an 11 foot tiger shark .I said to myself instinctively " RUN " 🏃♀️ 😤.that was the week I sold all 3 of my surfboards. So basically Pascagoula has its high points. Sharks that predate on humans don't particularly care for that sound. 😒 word to the wise: stay out of the oceans and seas, Gulfs , atolls,.Roll Panthers !!
Fortune's Favorite Child!! Ty wa.
It sounds like you have some great memories of visiting different beaches along the Gulf Coast. Pascagoula Beach is definitely a hidden gem and an enjoyable way to get to Horn Island. The beach pier is also an interesting historical spot with its 3135 tread boards. Fernandina Beach in Florida is also highly regarded as one of the top 25 beach destinations in the world. However, I understand that encountering a shark can be a frightening experience, especially when swimming offshore.
Why does it seem like nobody is ever in the water?
It’s got sediment from the Mississippi River spilling into the sound. The barrier islands trap it close to the shore and cause the dark water. That kinda scares people off from swimming in it. As a kid, I issued to swim out there all the time. Never had anything bad happen, just not clear and as pretty as say Destin.
