I am One Piece fan, Collector, and player. Honestly, it is about time that everything becomes more affordable. Bandai had no idea their game would be this successful(don’t understand that part honestly, it is One Piece. The only book that has sold more is the Bible I think.). Finally everything can enjoy playjng the game and collect without going bankrupt.

You're right though in which itll be interesting to see how collectors react to this, and how if there will even be a point in collecting sets if they'll all be reprinted in the annual anniversary special sets like PRB. I do predict that scalpers will hold off now, and sets wont sell out as quick and get marked up in price.

Bandai is notorious for killing their card games, was hoping they’d learn their lesson but Digimon and DB they demolished their collector base (and collectors usually buy the most and the games die out). ALSO if you’re telling me every manga and good alt is getting a reprint every 5-6 sets imma wait until PRB-02 for the next hits 😂🤷🏼♂️ why not

One Piece Card Game is still new. We're still in the reprint phase of the original sets, especially since supply was so drastically low in the beginning. Thus, it was not a surprise that we're getting multiple reprint sets this year: Including Treasure Boosters, PRB-01, and reprint heavy Starter decks like 11, 15-20. Not to mention Bandai just straight reprinting early sets like op01 cases to inject into the market directly. Collector values will pay off long term in 5, 10, or 20 years. But collector's phase for sets like op01 have barely yet begun.

Ridiculous that they did this. I play the game and collect; i saved up for a manga that i really wanted and now it just feels bad since its going to go down in value with a reprint that is practically identical. I think after this move i wont be spending money on some of these chase cards if they are just going to reprint these big hits. Especially with such minimal effort to distinguish them. Also seems lazy, why not just make new chase cards. I do like when they reprint meta cards for playing, but not collector cards.

@@xUnikronx if I’m honest it happens a lot with Weiss Schwarz cards because they don’t want to give out a black label as the print quality is always very high. It’s common that it will all be 10 except centering which gets chucked a 9.5 to bump it down. I am planning to resub/review this one as I think it’s deserving of a black label

I have a mix now of gold and silver sigs. I can honestly say that the silver sigs look much nicer in person than the gold. I cant wait till the follow up video hits to see if im in the majority in thinking the same. Either way this set will definitely be one of the top sellers at least until Nikke

I guarantee the mangas in this set are going to be between $100-$1000. Most might be around 200 or 300 but I feel the luffy and nami will be around $1000 still.

With the one piece card game stamp and the star added, there’s a good chance there won’t be any distinction between 05, 06, and EB01 manga rares since they already have the stamp and stars. Idk how to feel about it tbh. Very interesting decision by Bandai

Yeh it's a really good point, if I'm honest I don't think it makes a HUGE difference, obviously the originals will be a bit more desired if there is a difference but either way they are still going to be adding loads of pretty much the same cards back into supply. Either way it's still pretty meh for people that collected these cards. A much better idea would have been doing some manga rare alts, like when they make SPs. If they wanted to people all the manga rares back in maybe just do them all with different designs. But yeh here we are!

@@GTcollector502 You aren't meant to... they are identical cards and should be thought of as such. It's a reprint set for a reason. A huge percentage of one piece card game fans never got to open up boosters pack due to demand completely overwhelming supply in 2023. Giving those players the dream of pulling an expensive card they would most likely never pay up for as a single, while driving down the inflated prices on the original mangas is the best thing that Bandai could have done. Though with 10 total mangas being possible in PRB-01, we should see the manga market drop, but not expect the price of any specific manga to drop all that much. If the 1 manga per case is true, there would only be one of each card added to the market every 10 cases. If the manga rate is more like sets, it would be 30-50 cases per specific manga. And It's possible Nami might be slotted as the most common manga of the set since shes new, making the other 9 reprints seen even less frequently than that.

Agreed. Most of weiss schwarz is just magical girl shows that people in the west don't know. Sure weiss has some good shows like attack on titan, seven deadly sins, and even avatar the last airbender but union arena has more ips that are better or more popular.

I know the history of the card but still, why is it going for so much? I dont think Bunny Girl Senpai is even that popular amongst waifu collectors (Monogatari, DxD, Oregairu, Dress up darling, etc.) - is it just fomo investors driving it up? Population doesnt even seem that low on BGS or PSA sites unless its mostly regrades filling it up. In fact, there seems to me many other TD SPs or SSPs that are rarer like Birdcage Yukina (probably more expensive if it ever BL).

To be honest I think it's just recognised and iconic at this point (the card). Talking about english anyway I'd argue the pops will be resubs and the pop is higher than some cards because people just don't care enough about the other cards as much. Like the example of the birdcage yukina, I know visually it looks great but there's a reason why theanimemen made a video about buying the mai and grading it and not a card for a character from bang dream.

You wouldn't see the card or texture properly as the light would just reflect off the sleeve. I thought the same until I placed one very gently on it myself. Cards weigh about 1gram, unless you're moving it side to side while it's on it I can definitely say it did not damage the card in anyway
