“One day all this will be over. The war to end all wars will be won by one side of the other, guns will rust grass will grow and they’ll be nothing left of any of this, the land will heal its self as everything does in the end, we be long gone by then but maybe not forgotten, history remembers only one in 1000 of us, then the future would be filled with stories of who we were what we did how we lived how we fought and how we died, when this is all over and the war is won, they will remember us, but until that day comes, we will stand ,we will look death in the eye, and we will FIGHT (music)”

History only remembers one in a thousand of us--then the future will be filled with stories of who we were, and what we did. How we lived. How we fought. And how we died. When this is all over and the war is won-- _They will, remember, us._ But until that day comes. We will stand. We will look death in the eye--and we. *Will FIGHT!*

With BF1 having its epilogue on now, it makes me emotional because the Aussie soldiers who fought in the Great War, they will be remembered by everyone because they died to serve their country and fight and looking death in the eye. This is memorial

It's sad how alot of people forget that there is a first great war, and the young men women and children who had to suffer in the war and families who only had a letter sent to them instead of their father or son

I would say this was an advanced game of its time and the graphics are amazing but why I love battlefield 1 the best is, the historical accuracy in the game is amazing!!! Just loved the campaign and almost everything about it and I think it’s the best because of that.

The soldier stood and faced God, Which must always come to pass. He hoped his shoes were shining, Just as brightly as his brass. "Step forward now, you soldier, How shall I deal with you? Have you always turned the other cheek? To my Church have you been true?" The soldier squared his shoulders and said, "No, Lord, I guess I ain't. Because those of us who carry guns, Can't always be a saint. I've had to work most Sundays, And at times my talk was tough. And sometimes I've been violent, Because the world is awfully rough. But, I never took a penny, That wasn't mine to keep... Though I worked a lot of overtime, When the bills just got too steep. And I never passed a cry for help, Though at times I shook with fear. And sometimes, God, forgive me, I've wept unmanly tears. I know I don't deserve a place, Among the people here. They never wanted me around, Except to calm their fears. If you've a place for me here, Lord, It needn't be so grand. I never expected or had too much, But if you don't, I'll understand." There was a silence all around the throne, Where the saints had often trod. As the soldier waited quietly, For the judgement of his God. "Step forward now, you soldier, You've borne your burdens well. Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets, You've done your time in Hell” “The Final Inspection”

It's actually so sad. This epilogue shows what soldiers back then thought. They believed they would be remembered as heroes, as brave men. But due to WW2 most of the population doesn't care. Nobody remembers these French soldiers, because their WW2 failure overshadows them. Nobody remembers these German soldiers, because the cruelty of WW2 Germany made the world hate them. It's depressing. Peace to the fallen, guys.
