I hope this is trees after Christmas. I was in the business in the '70's and we had a bad year once where we were left with many unsold trees. We hired a chipper - it was a bad day. We never had that problem before or after. I can't remember what issue caused our sales decline that year.

So I guess this is a year old now - but nice job guys. Bet that's the most expensive chip you've ever done - £5 a foot at least per tree, only a few weeks prior.. On the upside, growing Christmas trees is a nice little crop if you have the space, but surprisingly hard work - no-one wants a wonky tree 🙂

Invece di rinverdire dove occorre , questi alberi , vengono triturati !!!!! La macchina molto efficace , ma viene usata male . Ci sono molti parchi , giardini pubblici, dove mancano gli alberi , potrebbero servire per una opera buona , per noi che respiriamo ossigeno e per il pianeta . È una sola osservazione .

Gente che non riesce ad arrivare a fine mese ed altre che muiono di fame, e lei si preoccupa di alberi che vengono tagliati e triturati. Forse lei compra addirittura il pellet a 12 euro a sacco, dove lì magari sono stati veramente abbattuti centinaia di migliaia di alberi e foreste disboscate. Ma lì sicuramente non si farebbe tanti problemi. Ma l'importante sono i parchi... Bene così.

Nice work 👍🏻. Unless the chips are going to be used for something elsewhere I never understand why folk pay to have chips taken away and dont just fire them into the foot of a hedge or on the ground to break down and feed the soil. Best week suppressant you can get

Normally we would, but the idea of that cut is to suspend the tree high up to avoid any damage to the ground below.

Hi Aaron, thanks for your comments. We currently use mechanical plant where possible, like tree shears, log grabs and mulchers, therefore eliminating the use of chainsaws operated by staff. Using a chainsaw all day can sometimes make ones back ache however, especially if not used properly. Keeping a saw as sharp as possible helps against this. Many thanks.
