  Nice explanation. I have one doubt. I am planning to buy v cvt with ADAS. It has lane keep assist. But if you need to make sharp lane change in emergency you don’t have time to turn on indicator. Will ADAS prevent the lane change?

  Lane keep assist and lane departure mitigation are different things. Your question is on lane departure. Here if you change lane at speeds above 72 kmph, it gives you a warning and you will feel a tug on the steering but you can change the lane. At no point in adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist or lane departure mitigation, does the car take over from you. You can speed up or brake or change lanes. However you should read the car manual in detail as it gives a neat diagram based explanation of each adas feature including when it will not function (implies car will act as if adas does not exist). Most car users are not used to reading manuals but it is important to do so before using adas. Once you understand the functioning in detail you will find how supportive these are.

  Since my wife and I are in 60's we prefer cars with easy ingress and egress. We are quite happy with 2014 Corolla Altis VL. GC 175mm. When I test drove the city I found the driver seat much lower. Also I heard the rear seat is slightly bouncy at highway speeds. For these two reasons I'm hesitating to exchange my Corolla.
