    With tire beads in my tires I notice temperature and humidity changes from day to day. I'm switching to nitrogen to lessen the effects of fluctuations in temperature and humidity. It will help a little bit

    Mannnn, Been needing something like this. Mine hasn’t worked for two years. Question though. I’ve got a small drip 1,2,3 drip leak directly where the hose connects to the reservoir. But I get ZERO fluid from the nozzles. That couldn’t be the total loss of pressure right? I tried to blow compressed air into the hose and some crusty dry flakes. some out.

  • @YourHomeGarage
    @YourHomeGarageКүн бұрын

    Zero fluid out of the nozzle and a leak at the reservoir hose would equal a loss of pressure. Replace the reservoir hose to seal the line and then you can further diagnose the system if it’s still failing.

    It's a shame you can't do it remotely with the key fob to put them up as well. My 2009 Volkswagen GTI was able to do up and down with the key fob remotely

    Do you recommend pre-rinsing the vehicle with water prior to using the foam cannon? Are you using a microfiber towel to clean stubborn bugs and to dry off the vehicle?

  • @YourHomeGarage
    @YourHomeGarage4 күн бұрын

    My process is to pre-rinse prior to foam as I like removing as much debris before a contact wash. Some could argue it depends on how dirty the vehicle is, which would determine if a pre-rinse is needed. I use a wash mitt with soap as lubricant to clean more stubborn marks. To dry, I primarily use a leaf blower. Once again to minimize the contact.

    Thank you! I recently purchased my first vehicle (Lexus NX350 hybrid) that will be my daily driver. The car detailers are pricey and don’t fit my available schedule so I’m planning on doing it myself while following my manual closely for maintenance instructions. Thanks again because this video and your response helped me tremendously!

    This video was extremely helpful! I am going to buy a tread depth gauge in order to properly measure the snow tires I would like to sell. They are in great shape, but I just sold my car and the person who bought it didn’t want them because they can’t store them anywhere as they live in a small apartment. But I’ve also heard that the year the tires are made is an important thing to list. Is there a certain place on tires where this can be determined?

    So if you have a tire that has 80% nitrogen in it, that was filled by air and then you continue to refill or top off the pressure with nitrogen won't you eventually have a tire that will reach closer to 100% nitrogen if you are constantly losing the air molecules more than the nitrogen molecules?

    Easy enuff; BUT the air filter cover is NOT, repeat NOT, that easy to pull out. It helped to unpop the engine cover. Also, I removed the screw on the passenger side with an 8mm wrench because the "lip" is too high and blocks your way of getting to it with a normal screwdriver (you'll notice how he comes in at an angle on that screw in the video). Also, use an 8mm wrench to unsecure the inlet hose to the air filter compartment. Then you can shift the entire assembly to your right towards the driver's side and then you can pull the whole thing out, remove the old filter, give the inside a good wipe-down and install the new filter.

    @YourHomeGarage - Thanks for this video. My 2008 Odyssey AC is cooling but with very low intensity. In other words cold air coming from AC vents is not cold enough so it becomes very annoying when in summer daytime temperature here in TX is above 100 degree. It seem it is working 50%. Any suggestion please?

    The kinetic diameter of nitrogen is only 5% greater than oxygen so I’m not really buying that there is a noticeable difference in pressure loss. You might have somewhat slower oxidation of the rubber from the inside but I seriously doubt it’s worth it until I’m shown data that demonstrate otherwise.

    The 18 MM caliper bracket mounting bolts should be installed with blue loctite. Loctite is used by the factory. I have had these come loose on my F150 FX4. Because of this problem I now do my own brake repairs.

    Absolutely horrible place for an oil filter. I'm looking for a new vehicle and I've learned to look for 2 important things before buying. How easy is it to 1: replace alternator . 2: oil filter replacement. With the winters and amount of salting I can see that not coming loose sooner than later.

    Had an intermittent problem on a Subaru Forester recently. Was taken to a shop, they recovered the refrigerant/recharged with dye added. Charged $125 and said that it was fixed, but the problem persisted. AC worked fine on startup, but 15 minutes or so down the road, it quit. I got the car, immediately tried a new relay, problem solved. Subaru dealer relay, $30 charge for part, did the labor for free.
