Hello friends thanks for this video but Armenia IS NOT centeral Asia, it is West Asia ❤
Great video 😊 40Ltr for a 2yr trip, is inspiring me to pack lighter. Have done a 1yr trip where i packed far too much stuff (doubled up on too many things) so needing to get a new mindset for any future trip. Hope you guys are enjoying the world 🌎 it's a wonderful place full of wonderful people, something we often forget . 😊
Guys, I noticed you are staying in the beach villa, however; As a globalist wouldn’t you get a free upgrade whenever is available? You didn’t get that upon arrival or arranged it before even? We’re going there in Jan 2025 and trying to see if globalist will be worth it
Great question! Beach villa is the standard room on points, we were upgraded to the beach pool villa which is one level up. You could try for an overwater I think if you booked the pool villa with cash but I'm not sure.
@@onebagoneworld that’s not too bad!! As long as it was upgraded something ;) do we arrange it before or upon arrival?
@@raadqumsieh9518 it was amazing and from what I read people preferred the pool villa because walking from the over water villas takes some time. They upgraded us up on arrival I believe, it's listed out in the email as a globalist benefit that if it's available you will get it. Hopefully that's possible in January! You are going to love it :)
@@raadqumsieh9518 it all happens upon arrival! they should also send you an email with all the globalist benefits - you can always check then if it's possible but they might just kick the can down the road and say it depends!
I like the pack but will not buy it. Should have load leveler as they did on their Hikelite 26
Totally fair! I think on the smaller bags a lot of brands have said they don't see the value as much. I think it really comes down to what you are packing though.
If the ppl in front of you recline, how far back can they actually go? And would you know if you have 2 ppl on your booking, can you book 2 rows to yourselves or do they only allow 1 row per booking, for the sky couches?
I can't say for 100% but I want to say we could have each booked a sky couch if we wanted to. Also the person reclining their seat wouldn't seem to matter if you were sleeping. If you were sitting up it would be like any other chair
watched this video 3 times and finally Just bought mine! 😊happy with my purchase and thankful for your thorough review 😄
Thank you so much for watching!! I am glad we could help :)
where did you buy it? seems out of stock everywhere.
Great video... Will be there in August. Many thanks
Thank you for watching!
Hi nice video, what were the gears u used?
Thank you so much for watching! We use a Sony A7C!
I just don't like the admin panel in the front. If the main compartment is empty, then the weight distribution is not optimal. Sadly most bagpacks use similar layout
Agreed! I've almost never used an admin panel although I feel like I do use them more the smaller the bag is for some reason. But yeah, if you are using it for edc then everything sort of ends up in there and the bag is floppy and uncomfortable.
Everything is in flux. In one year, that hundred dollars will be able to buy much less. In one year, people in the United States will be really suffering. I hope Trmp cushions the blow, but he can only do so much. The government debt and it's parabolic direction is epic, and not in a good way.
This place looks amazing, how do you navigate around the forest to make sure you don't get lost in the middle of the woods?
It was insane! They have some trail maps at the start and I always take a photo before we walk on any trail. There also aren't many places to split off and they do have markers along the way. Absolutely one of our favorite hiking places!
Is there a way to avoid the seaplane cost? They are charging us 599$/pp. we are going January 2025 for 3 nights, then Alila Hadahaa for the other 3nights, total 6 nights. But the transportation for both islands seems SOOOO HIGH!
Not that I am aware of, one of the extra costs of the park Hyatt. When we went the alila had just partially opened so I don't have an opinion on it unfortunately! Yeah luckily going as a globalist and using points save da a ton but it still comes in as one of the most expensive weeks of our lives haha. I will say you will absolutely love it though!
Okay fine I’ll pay the transfer! lol We’re planning to hit globalist before January so hoping this will save us some money. We are booking with points and the only option is the beach villa with no pool, did you guys have to pay to upgrade? Or they upgrade you based on status?
How does it fit with sharp items in your back? Does it protect your laptop? Does it have waist straps? I prefer the Osprey Manta 24 liter for my personal item. However, this is a good alternative and provides better laptop sleeve then shoving in the water bladder compartment. Kangaroo pockets are good for your raincoat or windbreaker when it is wet and you need to stuff it into your bag as your board your flight.
I haven't really had any sharp items in the bag yet so I can't speak to that but I've shoved my roost laptop stand with my laptop in the back compartment and never had any sort of discomfort. No hip belt/waist straps but for a 26l bag that is fairly common. At the 32l mark though I can see an argument for them absolutely, especially depends on what kind of weight you are putting in there. Haha yeah, I took an REI Ruckpack 40L around the world with me and just used the hydration sleeve but always wished it just had a little something extra to pad my laptop with. That's something I liked about this bag is that it has a false bottom and a fairly thick laptop sleeve so it feels very secure. I think any sort of Osprey that is within the size limits is great though, they make such well thought out products.
As stated, item is per 2024-05 as far as i can see discontinued. I can't find it availble in ANY online store throughout europe.
Yeah I am sorry, it's such a pain! I just did some quick googling and this one looks to be in stock and is on sale: sportfits.eu/products/osprey-daylite-expandible-travel-pack-26-6 I know nothing about that website/vendor and if they are reliable but wanted to be of some help. Good luck!
@@onebagoneworld thanks :) hmm I might give it a try.. I did some serious gooflefu but couldn't find this
Thank you for this review. I’ve been thinking about getting this backpack for a while and you’ve made my mind up. I love Osprey bags.
So glad it helped. We love them too, definitely a staple for anyone who loves to travel!
I've got one and have traveled 3 weeks with it and a sling. Of course, did laundry along the way but that is much easier than keeping up with a roller case or bigger backpack. Great build and value.
Couldn't agree more!
@@onebagoneworlddoes it have a trolley sleeve?
@@SilviaHoard it does! The back panel underneath the air scale part is all a sleeve for a trolley.
@@onebagoneworld Thanks! Great review 👍
This bag is the one bag to rule them all for carryon! It's a beast (I've carried about 60lbs of tools in it in a pinch!) It's great for in between travel as well, unlike most large travel packs that are just a huge open pit, this one is just the right amount of space for internal organization between the two spaces. Just a tip, if you're feeling bold and like sewing, I doubled over the bottom of the shoulder straps to create a loop on both sides, sewed a small box x stitch, threw a carabiner on the top handle like you did, and it creates the perfect setup for a clip on shoulder strap, which I feel it really gets value from. I also put magnetic slide release buckles in front of the plastic shoulder strap buckles for quick and easy stowing of the backpack straps because I transition the two a lot. I also recommend changing the zipper pull cord to a different color for the expansion section, I always grab the wrong zipper 😅 Like you, also tried packing cubes and realized I could fit a day or two more outfits in by laying everything flat to really fill out the corners. Thanks for your review, this is the best travel bag that perfectly fits as your personal item under the seat; top it off with a lifetime warranty from Osprey and a cost of only $100: Best bag!
Wow! I wish I could sew, those sounds like awesome mods! Good point on the expanse section lol, definitely did a few takes because I kept grabbing the other zipper, this is a pro tip for anyone watching this review! Yep! I couldn't agree more, I was getting by with just packable day packs but this thing is just so much better in almost every way.
@@onebagoneworld I appreciate you are straightforward to the point and very accurate video! It was nice not having to wade through all the specs, b role video and everything else that usually ends up in a video that you really really don’t need. My only tip on mods is to never do something you can’t undo with a thread puller to any pack with a lifetime warranty. There are plenty of nondestructive mods using clips and straps to accomplish the same things like a sleeve insert in the laptop compartment to add organization in the main area. Great video and keep up the good work!
Damn surprised how expensive!!
We were too! Looking back, it felt worth every penny, even though it hurt!
Rain jackets are used by ultra light hikers and packers who have masterd layers clothing as a cold weather shell to keep out water AND wind. So when you layer properly you can go from higher to lower temps with the same clothing. Under layers can double as sleep ware. Outer layers can stand alone in the shoulder seasons. A puffy can double as a pillow. So much you csn do with picking multipurpose items in good materials.
Thank you for your review
Glad it was helpful!
Awesome video! What camera are you using for the sit down shots? The quality is beautiful!
We have a sony a7c!
Super helpful video!! Esp all the period advice. I’m getting ready for a trip now and these were exactly the tips I needed. Thank you!!
Thank you so much for watching and for the support, Nancy! Have fun on your trip :)
Europe just sucks. USA baby, we have AC!😊
I travel as a minimalist but I’m facing a challenge on my next trip: I’m travelling around Italy for ten days then going on a week long Mediterranean cruise. My plan is to pack only a backpack (which is the similar to yours) I’m going to be walking, in transit, in museums, the beach, and dress up nights on the cruise. If it doesn’t work out I figure I can buy something when there. I hope. 😅
Good luck! It's a very freeing experience :) And you can always buy what you forget there!
yes thats arendelle
Woohoooo what a pleasant surprise; I've missed these!! 🥳
Really interesting thanks, your hair is lovely. I'm not going backpacking but I am trying to do more minimal packing for trips so its really helpful seeing your packing. Happy travels! X
Thank you so much Sharon! <3
Georgia is sooo tasty country !!!!
It really is!
İrəvan(yerevan) is old Azerbaijan city🇦🇿
Yes, and Azerbaijan was a part of the geater Armenia. There are hundreds of words in Armenian that use the phrase Azer or Ater. How many words is there in Turkish Azeri that is derived from the phrase Azer?
So beautiful, like a fairytale 😍❤️
What camera are you filming with?
We use a sony a7c!
Backpacker havens have always sucked. That was true 40 years ago, it's true still.
We really loved it :)
Meanwhile he's the most normal person on camera lol
He's the best!
I can’t figure out if Pai is a tiny tourist trap or a place where someone could retire….would it be tiny and boring ? It sure looks cool !
Like anything in life, it is what you make of it! It can be both, it can be neither. We really loved it there because it is so beautiful and laid back but it is heavily touristed. We did however meet someone on our bus ride who retired there and said he loved it.
Going next Year ❤
Have so much fun, eat all the fantastic food, and enjoy all the amazing people for us!
very nice video, thank you. I wanna go to Yerevan next year...
Seriously one of the greatest places we have ever been! Enjoy it :)
Okay, about the civil war, I assure you that there will be NO civil war. What's happening is the government cleaning up the mess created by the actual civil war we've had two years ago. The government is collecting the guns back from the civilian population. Which is a responsible thing to do. That's exactly What's happening and it will all be over soon. And also it's happening some 600 kilo meters away from the capital, so please don't worry. Come and enjoy our country any time you want, and we are super happy to have you.
Do you happen to remember the date this was? Asking for a weather gauge?
We were there April 27th to something like May 3rd or thereabout!
Thanks for your video because I though of get Skycouch for NZ to Vancouver but I am sceptical about how big it is for 2 adults. I think for 1 adult & a child it would be ok.
Yeah two adults could be difficult! That's a long flight so best of luck :)
I'm enjoying your adventures! Watching from West Africa. :)
Thank you so much :) Oh so cool! Where are you?
Sis there is no 'Civil war' in ethiopia except goverment opration to enforcing rule of law on some armed Bandit/gang at remote or isolated/jungle area, otherthan of this, 99.99999% places of Ethiopia territory is businesses as usual just like in USA or as you have seen in the airport despite imperialist media's perpetually demoniz the nation with fake reports, Cos since back then this nation hasn't "Yes Government' (Submissive Government) to the wast as they want; hence the only african county that never colonized by exploiters.
What tour company did you use and how much per day? I am trying to decide between East and South Africa for Safari but do like East.
Hey James! We used Eastco and paid 450 a day per person which is pretty good for a private vehicle during high season. 300-500 seems like a good budget per person per day around those times for a private vehicle
Damn you guys are brave haha this looks very fun !
Thank you for watching! It was a great time :)
This woman’s eyes are so beautiful!
Thank you very much!
I wish the world at peace💗
Beautiful food presentation.💗
WOW! lovely lovely!! i love the black jumpsuit!!
Thank you so much!
Jucy vans are renowned for going 40 under the speed limit along haast pass.
Haha for what it's worth I always pull over if I can!
@@onebagoneworld You're one of the good ones then.
ARMENIA IS THE BEST 👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏✌️✌️✌️✊️✊️✊️🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲❤️❤️❤️
I miss New Zealand, I went back Christmas last year for a month after 14 years away and it was very emotional for me, everywhere i went brought back memories. 5 more years in Canada and I shall head home for good I think. Love your videos of NZ.
Thank you so much for watching! It is such an incredible place. It's hard to think back about any memory we had there and not have a huge smile on our faces afterwords. Glad we were able to take you back, even if only for a couple of minutes!
