I camped in Columbia Falls but spent most of my time on the bike. The only place I ate was Pat’s Pizza in Machias and it was a good sub shop. I also enjoyed hiking Cutler Coast even though it was foggy.

@@kennyl1010 how was your trip and how was the campground? I am looking to make a trip here this summer and would like to camp somewhere in the middle so we can cover different sections of the trails on different days. Was there anything you would recommend?
@kennyl10102 жыл бұрын
@@nickfrumusa7705 we stayed at Cottonwood campground and it is smack in the middle of the trail. The campground is basic and if you are bringing young kids it isn’t really geared toward kids but I understand they are planning to over the next few years. The owners are fantastic and make sure you are taken care of. There isn’t. There wasn’t a camp store when I was there but may be one now. They do have firewood and a small farm stand. I went with an rv and the spots aren’t that wide but plenty long enough. The full hook ups(50amp service)was great. As far as the riding it was real fun. The trails can be dusty so be prepared and bring googles and a gator to keep the dust out of your mouth. It wasn’t to dusty when I was there in October but I understand it can be bad in the dry summer. Get a map if you decide to venture off of the main sunrise trail and if you have a gps bring it. Not much going on in the area so if you just like relaxing around a fire you’ll have a nice time.
