Kick butt TBR! Those are all ones I want to read too! I am going to finish Empire of the Damned in August too, we should compare notes! Love that Soul Brand cover
How do you read so many in one month 🙈
He Who Fights with Monstes was in Audbile's recent 2 for 1 credit sale, so it transitioned from my wish list to short list. Brian sure makes it sound like fun! I think the first Malazan book was on that sale as well (I picked up 8 in total), so can't wait! Apparently there's a Ray Bradbury Theatre show from the early 80s that's on Prime Video now. My wife is watching it and questions how I've never heard of it (I was like 5 when it came out and she's only 2 years older than me). Just started Fellowship of the Ring last week, first time reading it. The differences with the movie are interesting so far. After that I have a slew of Ray Bradbury books.
Heeeeck yes, I am so eager for you to get into Empire of the Damned!! And really hope that your Malazan journey continues smoothly. Happy reading friend 🤩🤩
what a great dad and idea!
@@hordolur Thanks Patrick!
my august TBR : 1)To Ride Hell's Chasm. 2) The Curse of the Mistwraith 3) The Golden Key 4) Conan City of The Dead
Back to Malazan as someone who just splurged on the Broken Binding editions I will be watching.
@@Talking_Story I couldn’t splurge lol 😂 I’ll be happy with mmpb
@@AndrewsWizardlyReads all the same words I bet
That malazan book would take me a full month alone lol
@@alibaba0428 I plan for it to be the majority of my month!
That's some bodybuilders books you have here.
@@HakolBeseder09 lol 😂
Great to see that you are starting House of Chains. The first part will be a unique experience for sure. In case if you think you may forget parts from the previous books, you can check out some book summary discussions from Phillip and AP or from others.
@@SouravUldyssian Thanks! I’m excited 😊 I know there are a ton of resources that I can use to jog my memory
I'm stuck with US editions of both Vampire and Damned 😒 so pardon my jealousy. I look forward to reading Damned, though. I'll probably get to it once the weather gets cooler. Have a good week, Andrew
@@alynam82 have a great week!!! I am incredibly grateful for these editions :)
Portal fantasy. DeChancue Castle Perlious series.
@@ilanahalupovich Sounds interesting!
I hope u like all books! I’ve read house of chains by Steven Erikson it was interesting read! Happy reading to you!! 😊 I liked the way you displayed your books on the desk!! 😊😊
@@safinan8008 thanks Safina! I’m hoping to it’s a great return to Malazan!
Now that's a list. It's probably a good idea to go ahead and order the 3rd Covenant of Steel book, when you get to how The Martyr ends . . . you're going to want to continue.
@@OnlyTheBestFantasyNovels already on the shelf!
@@AndrewsWizardlyReads awesome! Incidentally, his new book dropping in September takes place a couple decades after the end of this trilogy, so if you like it there's more on the horizon. I'm a few chapters into an ARC of that and it's great so far!
You had me at Malazan! 😂 I hope you enjoy it, I usually take quite large breaks between entries, but it would be interesting to know what it's like after such a long break!
@@OverlyAverageBen lol 😂 it will be interesting returning to the series after so long
Can you suggest me the best horror book of Stephen king plz😊
@@RMMS6B33ADITYAMONDAL There are many different flavors of horror with King many of them are good. I’d say do Duma Key or Needful things. Both fantastic books
Nice fort Andrew
@@CurlyHoward42 thanks!!!
That was too cute
@@BOB_77 :) thank you
I don't get the hype for this book. It's a slightly embarrassing self insert power fantasy with a extremely confusing structure. I rolled my eyes so many times trying to get through this book ( at least four attempts.. I really wanted to like this book ) I will say I do like the vampires he created just not how he used them or the story surrounding them. It's also a satisfying physical book to hold with very nice illustrations so definitely not a complete waste of a purchase imo. And tastes change...so I do hope to be able to get into it in the future. Also the author seemed like a really nice dude I feel really bad for disliking this particular book so bad.
@@luckyowl6432 nothing wrong with not liking a book! No book is for everyone and that’s ok :)
Hahahaha I thought this was a horror parody at first😂 Good Dad stuff there my friend!

If you're interested in Powers, you might try "The Drawing of the Dark", which is a historical fantasy set during the siege of Vienna by the Ottomans. Quite good (I liked it more than Anubis Gates, though others disagree.)
@@dougsundseth6904 His books all sound really good and interesting!!! I have a feeling about him.
Nice 🤪
@@ithrahmunchswallow468 I know right!
Jimmy really liked Anubis Gates. Have my half price copy on my helf.
@@EricMcLuen that’s awesome! I’ll be picking up a copy soon
The only 10 Powers I've ever read is a new biscuits and I really liked it but I don't know if that's just because I'm into time travel😊
@@stevenstewart782 hey time travel is just awesome
I also dragged my feet … due to ridicule. I really enjoyed The Illuminae Files but couldn’t get into The Nevernight Chronicle, The Aurora Cycle series or LIFEL1K3 … not saying any of those are bad, I just couldn’t get myself to read them or past a chapter or two. I eventually read EotV a year and a half ago … i was pleasantly surprised …. it also came in a full Illumicrate box … so I didn’t have to go looking for it lol Huh I haven’t reviewed it …. Maybe I’ll immersion read the two that are out back to back …. I agree … it’s a fun book and all the book shaming edge lord nonsense is a bit sad. I’m just not mainstream …. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/3
Anubis Gates is narrated by Bronson Pinchot so I got it from the library (Cloud library app). We shall see …..
@@nancywolf1467 ohhhhh I didn’t know that
I mostly read fahtasy, but I love seeing Preston and Child on your list. I love Pendergast! 😄
@@drunkentraveler78 I had so much fun reading those books
Spread the gospel!!! Contrary to you, I went into this book with insanely high expectations considering that Nevernight is one of my all-time faves, and somehow Kristoff still managed to blow me completely away. This book really is a mishmash of so many amazing stories, and yet it is compeletely its own unique thing. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on book 2, that is more focused on world/lore expansion and the plot doesn't progress too much, but the vibes are soooo immaculate!!
@@esmayrosalyne I’m excited to get stuck in!
Just watch Durfee’s top 100 fantasy & top 100 science fiction, I think he covers anyone who ever wrote a successful book in the genre.

@@ZOMGfantasy I am glad you liked it! I have The sequel on my August TBR

Glad you liked it but a little surprised as you don't seem to like the swearing or sex in your books? Just finished the sequel and thought it was very good as well. Maybe not quite as good as the original? Now we play the waiting game. Not sure he can wrap it up in just one more book. We will see. I think I will try his Nevernight Trilogy? Be well, stay safe!
