    Hi bud... I've been thinking about replacing the supercharger snout bearing .. Can you get to it with just the top cover off or do you have to remove the complete supercharger? Also will it need new gaskets.. ?

  • @cumminsturbo98
    @cumminsturbo98Күн бұрын

    You will need to unbolt the supercharger front the engine and tilt it up but you technically don’t have to pull it out all the way and only gasket that’s on the snout is RTV

    So, you jacked the entire rear end using the diff casing. You now have f'kd the rubber bushings holding the diff to the rear subframe as well as the output shafts to the rear wheels. This isn't an old live-axle car y'know where jacking the diff is safe. PS. I have done a complete rear subframe replacement on an XF so I know what I am talking about. Anyone watching this - don't copy it!!

    Hi bud.. Quick question.. Have you ever changed the boost sensors on the 5.0 engine? The front one looks easy to get to but there is one at the rear.. Was wondering if you have changed them and how was it finding and foing the rear sensors?

    @@stewarthumphreys8960 there's only one boost sensor behind the superchager manifold driver side you will need to pull the supercharger to get to that sensor. The front is just a map sensor

    The rwd f type R is somewhere around 400lbs lighter than the awd. There's several videos on yt of stock rwd R's running low to mid 11s stock with just Michelin tires. Harder to launch on average but that weight difference is a huge advantage.

    Everything for these cars as far as intakes go are shit, or don’t exist. The Mina ones rob power. I’m currently developing an all carbon PROPER cold air for these cars that uses dry cone filters, uses factory ram air tubes and wheel wells for induction as well as correctly mounts the MAS sensors, unlike the joke system from Mina that just sits on a rubber tube bouncing around. Prototype is made - just waiting on dyno time and then I’ll show it to the market!
