My name is David, I have a farm in west Tennessee. I operate a small herd of beef cows and Pygmy goats. My goal is to film daily operations on the farm and show the reviving of a 70 + year farm started by my great grandparents.
I am somewhat familiar with filming and creating content, I ran a waterfowl hunting show called Vertical Desent Outdoors. You can check out that channel on KZread if interested.

So Freaking True!❤❤❤❤
I wish time would slow down I am turning 18 in 5 months or on January 22, 2025, graduating in May and starting adult life in the real world
I know the feeling bro
I wish.🎉
God bless yuall 🎉❤
My youngest of 4 will be 16 in December my oldest 24 next month. Time goes by so quickly ❤
Live your LIFE
Enjoy it my babies are 27 25 21 😢what I wouldn't do to have these days back
Thankful for tractors with a/c but be careful when you’re out in this terrible heat.
All my money I made from my calves I sold went to fixing the A/C in the New Holland, right now it's paying me back for all the money I spent LOL and I am thankful for it!
Memories he will never forget with Daddy 💙 so precious ❤
Oh my, it seems like if I miss a few Sunday’s at church that the next time I see him he’s changed and grown so much. He’s getting to be so grown up and such a big boy now. I know if I can see it it’s really apparent and easy for y’all to see.
Yes, life truly is good!
Kase looked so sweet resting his head on your shoulder in the opening and he was looking extra sharp in his Titans cap with his sunglasses on the back of his head. It sure was nice to see you take Buttercup out to go check on the cows and the pastures. Seems like everybody jumps on their 4 wheeler or sxs anymore but I enjoy hearing the squeaking sound of the saddle leather as you’re riding along. Hopefully by the time of the next video the cow you’ve been expecting to calve will have her calf. Be careful in the high temp’s that are predicted for the coming week.
@@pampriddy7659 Kase is really getting a personality and some attitude lol he wants to talk in front of the camera and he wants to run the camera. He thinks he is grown sometimes lol yeah the heat wave is coming back looks like. Dry weather and I’ll probably be headed to hay fields hopefully. As always good to hear from you and hope you are doing well!
Crops are enjoying it
@@jeffrichardson5828 for sure!
We finally got rain this week, we sure needed it.
It’s rained almost every day last week. But no complaints as last year we were in a drought.
Pastures looking really alot better. #bushhog
Been in the loft at 120 degrees❤

Getting the least favorite thing done...fencing.
@@conniebarnes3034 you are correct lol
Awww, is this Olly’s calf? I bet Kase is so excited about having a new baby on the farm!
Yep it sure is and Kase loves all the babies for sure!
It's so sad how we eat these beautiful animals 😢
You did a lot better job keeping it PG13 than I would have and yes I’m sure thankful Kase wasn’t with you. I got into a nest of those big dark red wasps last year. They’d built a huge nest underneath my porch swing unbeknownst to me and when I walked by and bumped the swing they nailed me 9 times. I fell trying to get away from them and hit the concrete hard enough it cracked my hip but I’d already lost the PG13 rating way before then! lol Your trip brought back lots of memories for me. East Tennessee is so pretty and I used to live about 30 miles from the Lost Sea. You’ve sure got some fine looking cattle, so fat and shiny and healthy looking. Yesterday I was greeted by a large cottonmouth curled up in the corner on the top step by my back door and yes, I lost the PG13 rating once again but I’ll be sure to repent for it in the morning at church!
Oh no, they only got me once but that was enough. But I think I’d rather get stung 9 times than have a cotton mouth waiting on me 😬I also think the camera helped me hold my tongue, but not even the camera can help me when we are working cattle 😂
@@willowbranchfarm I do try to bite my tongue but sometimes it just gets out before I can put a lock on my lips. I’m thankful for God’s understanding and forgiveness.
@@pampriddy7659 amen!
Bring it to my house 👍
I sometimes get a little complacent and electric fence always tells me to pay attention when that happens.
One that mowed here was so technically simple I really liked it. This one was belt driven. The brand the neighbor uses changing the blades is very easy. He hit something and had to change a blade. I think it was about 2 or 3 minutes at most.
That's a big thing for me also, you can change out all 6 blades in 5 mins and they are a very simple good running machine with not much maintenance!
@@willowbranchfarm his machine was quite a bit bigger and I'm not sure how many cutters it has but it would not take long end of season, start of the next... whenever to either sharpen them or change them. What I liked about it was there isn't much to maintain and it wouldn't take long even when it gets done. In any kind of machinery that's a big deal!
@@user-fp7ee2mk3c that's the one down fall for me, what you just mentioned. I'm starting to wish my mower was bigger as I pick up more and more acres each year. But love everything else about it!
Nice to see you got your hay in, like the drone footage. We move hay the exact same way!!
Thanks! We had a really good first cutting this year, compared to last year during the drought. Almost time get the tractor fired up and start our second cutting. Thanks so much for watching, hope you have a successful hay season and stay safe!
@@willowbranchfarm Thanks, we had a great first cutting as well. Subscribed, looking forward to following along your journey with you.
First of all congratulations on 100,000 views! Yes, I’m so proud of Hunter and our Vols baseball Champions! Kase was quite entertaining in this video but yea, when he watches this in a few years he might not appreciate you sharing so much information! lol I’m glad the rake is ready for the next cutting of hay. Negative people are so hard to deal with and especially unpleasant to be around. We should always smile and try to leave people feeling better than they were. Y’all sure do have some beautiful horses. Prayers y’all have a safe trip and a Happy Anniversary! Also prayers that God will bless y’all with many more years of making wonderful memories together.
Thanks! Kase is really starting to want to talk in front of the camera now, he may have his own channel before long ha ha. And thanks for the anniversary wishes, I sure have a good one that's worth celebrating! We are looking forward to couple days away but can't leave that little one for too long you know.
City people just don’t know what they’re missing. 😄
Wow, I don’t remember ever seeing triplets! I have to admit they are some beautiful animals but they sure can be destructive and cause lots of problem’s such as having to pay an insurance deductible to get your vehicle repaired. Don’t ask me how I know! 😡
You are right about that. I think some of them just try to get ran over lol 😂
I know y’all are going to really miss your Mamaw. I will certainly keep all of you in my prayers and in time to come may many wonderful happy memories help fill some of the empty places left in your hearts. Yes, by all means spend as much time as you can with Kase and your grown boys and grandchildren as well as your parents and grandparents. Time does go by so fast before we stop to realize our life is just a vapor. I used to think people in their 60’s were old and I still do but now I’m one of them! lol I held my breath as you peeled that tarp back and by the way, that was some pretty good acrobatics climbing those hay bales. There was a time when you could take people at their word that if they told you they’d do something they actually showed up. It’s sad that most of the time it’s not that way anymore but you have to give them the benefit of the doubt because you never know what’s going on in others lives. Sounds like you fertilized your hayfields really well and it paid off. That’s great that you’ve already got pretty much what you’re going to need off the first cutting and yes the round bales do look pretty lined up. I like to see a square bales stacked in a barn neatly too. My goodness gracious those steaks looked delicious and I’m sure they were. Those jalapeño egg rolls sounded mighty good too!
I’ll be doing square bales next time, when it’s good and hot lol and the steaks were delicious and the jalapeño egg rolls were also good. I’ll definitely make them again! Hope you’re doing well and staying good and cool in these HOT days ahead. Your right the money spent on fertilizer was money well spent!
David I lost both of my parents the same year mom in May dad in October 3 years ago
Oh man that had to have been tough! Couldn’t imagine losing one much less both in the same year.
@@willowbranchfarm do u bring the john deere to the bottom here
@@jeffrichardson5828 actually that was one of the reasons for buying a compact tractor, I’ve had it there several times bush hogging and for cleaning up etc. I also mow my yard with it (nice with the A/C on those hot days) guess I’m getting soft in my old age 😂
So thankful you got the first cutting finished without any major machinery problems and even more thankful that the air conditioner held up until you could get through. I really enjoyed this video since I’ve never seen up close how the round balers work. We always used the square bales. Always great to see Kase helping out. 😊
It’s always a good day if nothing breaks! The second cutting I’ll be breaking out the square baler, but I really like the round baler. Kase definitely loves riding the tractor.
Good job Kase, way to go! 🐟
Make one this winter in your duck hole
We are wet can't catch a break
I keep telling myself not to get be too mad at the rain, because we were awfully dry last year...but it sure can throw a monkey wrench in the mix when trying to make plans to do outside things. I finally got all my hay done during the dry spell last week.
Amen, none of us are promised another day yea, we are not even promised our next breath so if amends need to be made by all means make those amends, let your family and friends know that you truly do care and love them so you can rest with the assurance that you have made things right with all your family and brethren. I’m so thankful I came across one of your videos a little while back because by you sharing your experiences and your life on the farm it allows me the joy and pleasure of reflecting back on my past when I used to be able to do many of the same things you share. Oh such wonderful memories although at the time I didn’t realize just how precious those memories would become. You’re doing a wonderful thing by taking the time to make these videos not just for people such as myself to enjoy but more importantly so that years from now your family will be able to watch them and their hearts be filled with happiness, joy and love and most likely some laughs along the way. 😊 Before I go I want to say how sorry I am about the loss of your dear Grandmother. I have sweet memories of her and though she will be missed tremendously y’all no doubt have countless happy memories to help fill some of the empty places left in your hearts by her absence. Above all you have the blessed assurance that she’s not suffering anymore and that you will be with her again someday never to be separated again. She’s now reaping the many rewards she worked for and earned!
Thanks so much for your kind words, we will miss her dearly, but we know for sure she is in a better place now. And thanks as always for watching, it makes the time it takes to make these videos worth it.
That's neat! ❤
Is that a Boykin spaniel?
You are correct. Have had Chesapeake’s the last 20 years. Wanted to try something new, training her to be a duck dog. Always kind of wanted a Boykin and after my chessie passed last year we decided to bite the bullet. She is extremely intelligent and picks up things so fast.
Very sweet and great with kids. They will out hunt 60-70 lb retrievers. Have used two.
Great video ❤❤❤

Appreciate you watching!
You’ve sure got a good looking garden and it don’t matter if it’s small, looks like it’s gonna yield quite a bit!
We say.."Hey, there's Hay!"
You’ve got some mighty big hayfields but with help from Kase and Ellie you’re in good shape. You sure lucked out with how close you came to finishing with the net wrap! Somebody usually cuts and bales the field beside my house but nothing’s been done yet. It’s not very good quality anyway. When I worked in the hayfields we only baled square bales. I wasn’t a very good stacker so I always had to take one side throwing bales on the trailer. It always scared the mess out of me when I got a bale with a 🐍! Sometimes they were dead and sometimes not. Oh how I wish my health was still good enough to do these things.
I was too skinny as a kid to chunk bales, so I always got to drive LOL! I have square baled that same field in the video and I am always cautious about picking up the ones next to that pond for fear of a nope rope being in or under one of the bales ha ha
Best looking helper I ever saw..❤
Cutie for sure!
Everybody needs a good helper and backseat driver like the one you’ve got. 💙
Best tractor riding buddy ever!
Nope, not today and probably not for a few more days at least.
Maybe he was working on some “easy as pie” mud pies! 😂
