Nice lesson which I benefitted from.
Time is so important! I work everyday trying to perfect it. Not easy sometimes, but worth the effort!🎸 Thank you!!!!!
I really enjoy your lessons and teaching style. Thank you.
Thank you so much
Good lesson but would be much more interesting to have the concepts explained and applied to actual songs/musical passages rather than muted strings or one string.

Learn the Barre chord. It sounds much better than this example....
🔴Here is an interesting topic you almost never see on the internet and or KZread. Perhaps something for your next episode; How about 0.14 gauge strings on a Dreadnought Guitar. Good or bad idea. If not a good idea, how about downtuning the guitar ½ or 1 step in that case? Many downtune their guitar anyway… Thanks, just my 2 cents.
Thank you
You didn't teach the palm muting part that you've used here. That's incomplete knowledge 👎🏻
I have been playing for years and I still can't sing and play certain songs. However the ones I write myself I can.
Not getting emails from. And I did check junk. 😊
Thank you for sharing in a way i understand 😊
dude! you make every song so easy. I just grab my guitar and she plays by itself. Awsome video, big thanks!
good stuff. practice hasn't been going well lately. now I have a better understanding why. thank you
Another fantastic tutorial! Thank you so much🙏♥️
Can I sing using that?
Great video
James, Great information. I'm going to re-watch a couple of times and take notes. I am trying to learn how to read gospel sheet music. Do you have any suggestions/courses? It seems hard to follow with all the repeats, and nuances. Thanks
Agree... Mastering the guitar takes time, patience and dedication...
After struggling to play guitar for decades, I found the best thing for me was when I finally started playing with other people. Playing with other people was key for me
Good Guitarist, Your videos always make me smile, wanna be friends?
Absolutely correct
How do u do a short E major???
You're like fantastic 🎉
Perfect lesson! So much info that was fun to learn! Kudos
I found it easiest to use my pinkie on all the basic caged chords
Anyone else's guitar just make realy bad vibration sounds?
I almost always play without pick. My favourite technique is with index finger down and thumb up. The nails gives it a more “picky” sound.
Yes
Thank you for the free e-book. I'm a 68 year old retired newbie. The D chord has been giving me fits, so, thank you for this video and the e-book. I'm headed to practice!
Hello Good_Guitarist! Thank you so much from a mom of 3yr and 1 yr. I'm sure my family will be your students whole our life! We are fan of Raffi and The Sound of Music. If you have all tutorials to help play all Raffi songs and all songs The Sound of Music, I would love to compensate you for that. Will join your class soon. Thank you so much
Simple and straight to the point, thank you so much
Not suppose tonmove your arm. Just hand
To clarify my last statement, If you are playing with a Bass player who is playing the original notes, then it is fine to play the (cheap) C#5, but if you are just playing by yourself, play Bbm7, that way you get all the notes and don't sound like a hack! :-)
Not bad, but the C#5 should be a Bbm7
What a wonderful teachings you put on KZread. You make sense to me how you teach. I am relieved so I can lose the hurry and am happier motivated. Thank you 🎼🎶🎸
Hello amazing ☆ .. > Black magic woman ~ ok

Lame songs
James, this is a great song and an EXCELLENT lesson. I really appreciate the way you break your song lessons down into small segments and show the finger mechanics of moving from one chord to another. Thank you!
