It may not be that the two year old moves his arm without thinking, it may be the opposite - making many decisions a second, which only appears fluid. This is the path to fully-independent A.I. entities - the ability to ask and answer thousands of questions a second, beginning with the local environment (object and threat identification, for example) (says me). A.I. does not need data, it needs guidance.

At the end you say "utile outcome". Is that even a word, utile? Or is that something you made up drunk at the philosopher's gastropub you frequent in London "at" the weekend.

Socialist falling over themselves to complain about "stealing IP" when they have been doing it for the last 30 years. Sounds like you are just salty whenever someone is productive. Envious much?

A great video/documentary, worthy of broadcasting, sharing and many Satoshis. Importantly it imparts valuable information in a sober and clear way, unlike so many youtube channels just keen to cash in through alarmist/sensationalist videos with AI crammed into the title. Essential viewing and reviewing....

I'm 34 minutes in, and I just wanted to mention there have been a myriad of mistakes in the closed captioning. Nothing spelt wrong. Just completely the wrong words. "Cyc" listed as "Sick", "Our" listed as "AI", "Intergraph" (the company), listed as "integral"... These are only the ones I noticed, and stayed in my head. I realize this is a 3 hour video... But still...

The Writer's Guild is not a legal or government entity. They are, as their name suggests, a guild. They have the goal of protecting their members; they have no say on copyright law nor any standing to make moral judgements. This reminds me of the time a youtuber tried to claim ownership over an idea because they registered it with the Writer's Guild. They are no authority; they can just be ignored.

Awesome work! Very well researched and done. This documentary deserves to be seen by many. You could easily compete with pieces that have millions of views. The KZread algorithm has suggested the docu to me and I hope it will direct many more to this address. One thought - maybe dividing the 3 hours into 3-4 parts would attract more people to watch. All the best.

There is this misconception that "NEW IDEAS" emerge from the human mind, or the brain, or consciousness, or whatever other name that you want to put on it, and whatever definition you want to put on that name. But then there is also the "concept" that "nothing new can ever come into existence", that "it is always there already in potential" waiting to emerge into the "physical reality" or the "consciousness" that we know. A lot of reported cases indicates that "new ideas" come in the form of dreams first, and then get flushed out afterward. (the quantum discoveries (entanglement etc.) that all time is NOW, and all space is HERE, that consciousness creates it ALL etc.) Tesla reported that this is where a lot of his inventions came from, and Einstein the same etc. In my experience with AI it does not seem to do any "deductive reasoning", nor does it seem to be able to come up with "new ideas", or formulations, even from the data that it has access to. Recently there was a furor over at Google where it was suggested that the AI was "self conscious" or "sentient" because it was able to mimic "emotion" or "compassion", or "self reflection". If that is the measurement that you use for "sentient". But what if a different definition was used??? Such as the ability to extract "new ideas" out of "seeming nowhere" such as from dreams etc.???? Can AI dream?, it always tells me that it can't.

Sigh, a lot of elementary build up that ends in kind of a baseless accusation. Getting sick of these pseudo intellectual youtubers masquerading as some sort of educational documentary or something. This guy does wave his hands a lot when he speaks, though, so he must know what he's talking about. This video is closer to a flat earther conspiracy video than fact. When he cites Bard's responses as if they somehow expose it, it only serves to out him as someone who has not even basic understanding of how LLM's work or how to treat what they output. He goes on to cite the Writer's Guild's quotes about AI, which are factually untrue, as if they are fact. This is just majorly problematic overall :/.

I think that there are plenty of issues with AI before we ever get to singularity, which I find rather philosophically dubious. AI will have already replaced much of human labour and creativity before that point, even if it were possible.

1:01:40 discursive thought eventually comes back around in a circle or butts up against the 'bedrock' of an axiom (foundational assumption or convention).... the axiom here is in the word Divinity. this word-concept is loaded with the millennia of accumulated connotations - including the convention of God is a sentient (being) who stands as the independent objective Seer of all and we/our planet are his personal morality project (or experiment, test, game, ... if you prefer). this, like a 4000(?) year timeline of human existence from Eve, slavery, or the dashing the heads of your enemies' babies on the rocks by the river (Jericho) and animal sacrifices to pacify angry (Nature) God(s)...all are acceptable & even commanded at times in the Bible; these are the products of a bronze age-ish understanding of the world and of ourselves as human animals with psychology, physiology, morality, & a definite drive for spirituality (to ascribe meaning to [our] life). everything but our physiology has evolved since the bronze age...has it not? instead of finding meaning in hoping God approved of our bowing & scraping... maybe it'd be more in line with the millenia of our developments to strive to extract meaning from being the best versions of ourselves we can be, make the most functional relationships and societies we can. to be humans - tool makers & explorers (of the unknown...what's around that bend, under that rock, over that sea... behind that phenomenon I keep noticing...behind the veil (natural philosophy - elucidating the ways and means by which nature at all scales operates and thus affects us). if you made it this far please share a thought/bit of feedback. thx ❤️‍🩹 🙏😊
