What is Social Emotional Learning | Student SEL Series | Ep 1

A nice sounding commercial, the soft skills were already being taught and there are not as important than real content, at least not at this stage of their lives, typically taught at home by mom and dad. What matters is how is it taught? At what expense and what did schools have to remove to fit this in? This is the core of the issue

SEL is a New Age cult that originates from the Fetser institute and CASEL. It uses children's natural desire to please and seek love and approval to condition children (and indeed anyone who is going through the "lifelong learning" scam of places like the Brookings Institution) to condition children to be hypersensitized to self criticism and acquire a critical identity from their school. IE. Their school becomes the new family usurping the biological family. It's a form of emotional manipulation to condition the child to acquire the "right" views and behaviour desired by the teacher. Ultimately it is the way the UN has determined to cause people to be resilient (which means complacent to the 17 sustainable development goals) which is the new world order everyone has heard so much about. I recommend you all look up the critiques of SEL and the fraudulent supporting evidence of its efficacy. In short - it's brain washing or if you like child grooming. Please like this comment if you want to stop child grooming and emotional abuse.

Kids are failing academically in the U.S. and these people are focused on their feelings and emotions. Parents need to be more accountable and schools should focus on academics.

This is its own entire separate “curriculum” and knowledge of Expertise. I’m not Complaining about that, but teachers are constantly assumed with the job responsibilities of a teacher, special Ed teacher, school counselor, a nurse, and parent - and yet they are paid the salary for one career. It just gets to a point where it’s unproductive to endlessly pile upon ever expanding responsibilities of their career. Upon becoming a teacher, I’ve really come to understand it as the “junk drawer” of America. Shove it in there, assume it to someone else’s Authority

I'm so surprised this video has no comments! Thank you for addressing such an important topic! I've always believed this is the way classrooms should be conducted and with the crazy rate of development of AI, personalized learning is, to me, the most promising way to educate a generation that could handle the new world powered and dominated by AI. Critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, and emotional intelligence are vital skills and traditional classrooms are not doing a good job of encouraging our children to achieve those skills. We need to change ...

An educational leader here and I love how you explain having a strong vision in your strategic plan. Your strategic plan needs a strong vision because it gives you something to strive for and measure your progress against. It also serves as a rallying point for your team, uniting them behind a shared goal. A strong vision inspires people to take action and motivates them to keep going when things get tough. I also have the same point of view, you may watch my video with similar topics.

These fools are giving kids puberty blockers and HIDING IT FROM THE PARENTS! They just suspended a nurse who ratted them out on it. Do you see a theme here? Libtards are little concerned with what they do and what they say. No, their MAIN interest is in stopping others from SHOWING them doing what they do and saying what they say. Look at the censorship on social media. Look at the outright attacks against the "Libtards of Tick Tock," for showing them speaking their own damned words. They don't want to have the argument. They know they cannot win the argument. They just want to stop YOU from speaking. Hell, just today I read that Twitter is now banning ads that refute manmade climate claims. They can't win the argument, so SILENCE YOU!! Here, this school district has no interest in defending its ACTIONS. They do not say "no we don't." nor "yes we do, and here is our argument for doing so." No, their concern is ONLY that this nurse TOLD ON THEM!
